It’s time for another heartbreak for Shedeur Sanders! The Colorado Buffaloes QB had hit the ground last season with the most number of sacks. But this season started well as Shedeur was able to strengthen his ground against North Dakota State. But poor Shedeur! Just when he thought, let’s celebrate, he hit another dead blow during the face-off against Nebraska Cornhuskers.

That too in front of a 100K crowd! But to Shedeur it had got nothing to with the footfall but rather the loopholes in their strategy. Meanwhile, he is caught with mixed feelings as he lands big praise from an NFL legend while at the same time being dragged through the mud.

Shedeur Sanders’ honest take on the unexpected setback

Last year was the first time in the Colorado Buffaloes’ history of 27 years that they had sold out of season tickets. And this season too there has been no exception. For the September 7 big bash, the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ home ground, the Memorial Stadium was filled to the brim. Of course, to any athlete, performing in front of a 100,000 crowd is a pressure in itself. However, after the disastrous feat, when Shedeur faced the press, he came up with a totally different take on it. As the Buffs QB confidently claimed, “I don’t think the crowd kind of like affected me personally.”

Then what has been the reason? Shedeur further highlighted the factor that “the team, maybe we just wasn’t ready.”  Maybe the the Buffs were flying high with confidence, particularly after their last season’s feat where they crushed Matt Rhule’s crew ushering in a 36-14 victory. Because of this, they might have taken things lightly. With this, Shedeur went unprotected and the Huskers sacked the Buffs QB five times, went 23-for-38 for 244 yards, and tossed a late touchdown pass. No matter what has been the case, Shedeur lands in a sticky spot.

NFL support fuels Shedeur Sanders’drive for redemption

The Buffs had put Shedeur on a pedestal, but unfortunately, Matt Rhule’s squad landed them a reality check. The Cornhuskers’ defense had kept Colorado under constant pressure and as usual, the QB got hit the massive blows racking up five sacks. This was no less than a green signal for Buffs’ haters to pour in one by one. Since Shedeur always comes up with a grand celebration with his signature move of flexing his luxury timepiece, a hater passed a brutal jab, “Safe to say, Shedeur Sanders won’t be flashing his watch again.”

While CFB fans expected the Buffs QB to change the narrative of receiving the most sacks, Shedeur failed at it again. So much so, that a hater could not help but drop a sarcastic bomb, “Word is, he got sacked two more times from the tunnel to the locker room.” But it’s not all dark and gloomy for the QB.

Amidst the rough times, Indianapolis Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin takes entry. The NFL legend is not afraid to go against the trend and Franklin came up with a bold claim, “a starting quarterback right now in the league. He’s better than a lot of n****s [players] in the NFL right now.” This is enough for Shedeur Sanders to instill within himself the urge to get back on the winning track next Saturday at in-state rival Colorado State.
