Things have already heated up within Deion Sanders’ family. Coach Prime’s son Shedeur Sanders just thought of raising the temperature. Already it’s now an open secret, how Deion and his four children’s bond with his daughter Shelomi Sanders has hit a sour note. And what did the Buffs QB do?
He went on to snub sister and basketball prodigy Shelomi and went on to root for another basketball prodigy who does not don the Buffs’ tag. Looks like with this Shelomi’s heart would take a hard hit. But do you know what’s more heartbreaking? Losing the favorite daughter spot.

Shedeur’s shoutout goes elsewhere while sister Shelomi waits for her turn
Just like Deion Sanders’ and the Buffs are predicted to be a top contender for the Big 12 title, CU women’s basketball too are expected to finish in the ninth place. Right now, Buffs’ Tabitha Betson is the preseason choice for freshman of the year. But the Buffs QB is not quite interested in the Buffs’ women gang. Instead, it’s Jaylyn Sherrod, the WNBA star from the New York Liberty, who has caught Shedeur’s attention. The Buffs QB was spotted at the Aces vs. Liberty game yesterday, where Sherrod’s team won 76-62. Shedeur showed his support by giving Sherrod a shoutout on X and posting pictures with the basketball star. The caption read, “Call it Perfect Timing Shoutout to QB1 for supporting our girl.”

The 5-7 point guard is definitely special for the Buffs. After all, Sherrod is now a University of Colorado alumna and is continuing to make the Buffs proud in the WNBA. During her two preseason appearances with the Liberty, she has averaged 6.0 points on 57% (4-7) shooting from the field.
While Shelomi has yet a long way to go before switching to WNBA, she deserves to get the love and support from his family. But poor Shelomi! She only has her mother Pilar by her side. But what makes Shedeur not support his sister?
What’s your perspective on:
Did Shedeur Sanders just choose team loyalty over family ties by snubbing his sister Shelomi?
Have an interesting take?
Why is Shelomi Sanders no longer his Daddy’s girl
Being Deion Sanders’ son, the Buffs QB follows Coach Prime to the T when it comes to making big decisions in his career. But unlike her brother, Shelomi chose revolt by staying out of her father and brothers’ shadow, leaving the Buffs camp. The 5-foot-5 guard has now committed to Alabama A&M Bulldogs women’s basketball which Deion tagged as her “stupid” decision. So it goes without saying, Shedeur has blacklisted his sister. But maybe Shelomi can still bear this cold treatment from the Buffs QB.
However, not being her daddy’s girl anymore, would definitely pain a little, right? Coach Prime seemed to have been very upset when Shelomi decided to transfer out of CU without taking his advice. So much so, that in one of the occasions as captured by Well Off Media, Deion even called himself a “Father of 4.” Well, you can now guess who decided to no longer consider as his child.

Finally, the Buffs fans thought that the ice had melted between the father-daughter duo when right before the Baylor match Shelomi was spotted showing Coach Prime her No.1 t-shirt. But to their surprise things hit the WORSE button. On the very next day, Deion posted, “@shelomisanders thinks she’s #1 in my kids Rankings. I Love u baby but you’re NOT #1 right now your sister @deiondrasanders is because she just had her Lil Baby.” God knows how many more blows Shelomi will have to bear from her own family. Sigh!
