Deion Sanders is super-confident about protecting his son Shedeur Sanders but analyst Skip Bayless dropped in to pop Coach Prime’s bubble. To Bayless, the Buffs QB is an absolute apple of the eye. Seeing his favorite champ going to great lengths to keep the Buffs’ boat afloat and yet suffer that too because of Deion did not sit well with the Undisputed host. So much so, that he did not even inch a moment before blasting the Buffs HC. Did Deion’s failure to keep his promise cost Shedeur hard as he is now snubbed from the Heisman race?

The Buffs’ 31-28 loss to Kansas State did not stop Bayless from doubling down on his love for Shedeur. But that’s not the case with the QB’s father Deion. The Buffs HC seemed to have worked hard through the beginning of this season trying to live by his words, bolstering Colorado’s O-line to keep Shedeur out of harm’s way. But maybe he is yet to reach the level to impress Bayless who dropped in a bold claim on his podcast, “I thought he’d have better protection…his father wasn’t able to beef up the talent around him to quite the level I expected.”

October 12 could easily be passed off as an ominous game for the Buffs. Well, not one, not two, but THREE wide receivers went down with injuries including Travis Hunter, LaJohntay Wester, and Omarion Miller. Did Shedeur freak out? Definitely not. Rather, the Buffs QB “got so desperate after losing all three receivers that he forced the ball over the middle right into coverage.” And it did reap the sweetest fruits.

Shedeur lit up the Kansas State defense and reeled in 388 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, throwing just six incompletions, one of which was an interception. This was enough for Bayless to pin all his hopes on Shedeur as to the analyst, “he is the toughest quarterback I’ve seen in the country because he gets knocked down so many times and jumps right back up and fires away.” But will Bayless’ analysis be able to save Shedeur in the Heisman odd race?

Shedeur Sanders faces an uncertain future

It’s not that easy. At least to CBS Sports analyst Danny Kanell who decided to stir the college football with his latest Heisman odds list. How alarming it must have been for the Buffs fans to find their favorite duo, Shedeur-Hunter not on the list. On October 12, Kanell dropped in his specially curated list where Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel earned the top spot.

The second spot went to Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward followed by Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty, Clemson QB Cade Klubnik, and Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia. While Shedeur got blacklisted by Kanell, another analyst Charles McDonald came forward and charted out the Buffs QB’s NFL path. As he has reached the end of his college football chapter, the fans are already going gaga over Shedeur landing with Las Vegas Raiders.

Interestingly, McDonald marked himself safe from the craze. Instead, he came up with an interesting option that the Buffs QB can consider exploring. Deshaun [Watson] is unplayable…Shedeur gets to go in his footsteps and say. ‘I’m the new face of the [Cleveland] Browns'”, forecasted the analyst. McDonald or Deion, whose plan will Shedeur follow? Let your opinion pour in!
