It’s all about contrast! The Alabama Crimson Tide is still not over their seasoned sage, Nick Saban’s exit. But wait! Enough of the dissection of coaching styles and game strategies between new head coach Kalen DeBoer and the coaching legend Saban. Fans are now busy trying to find out whose office setup reigns supreme. Mind you, there are some noticeable differences between the dens.

This gave the Crimson Tide fandom big enough reasons to take to the comment section and fingerprint the contrasts. Not just strategies and office outlook but their attire said a lot about their contrasting personalities.

One of the most-discussed topics in the Alabama ‘hood is about “Nick Saban being like that but DeBoer is like this” type of conversation. Till now, it had boundary-only strategies and game plan differences between the old and the new. But not anymore. Their conversation’s now different. So much so that he now enters a desk dress-up drama. As On3 Sports staff writer Blake Byler posted, “Very different office styles for Nick Saban and Kalen DeBoer.”

The collage shows two side-by-side pictures of Saban’s office when he was in power and DeBoer’s workspace. The contrast is so stark that even a kid could point it out. The legend had that signature feeling of vintage to it. From an antique wooden center table and retro-style couches to wooden interiors paired with a table lamp and painting on the antique wall, the legend added the perfect touch of heritage.

And here arrives DeBoer with his casual style. The coach, who is often spotted in shorts and a T-shirt, has injected a dose of chill into his workspace look as well. The new Alabama HC had nothing to do with the retro look. Instead, the interior is plain and simple with the signature red and white Crimson Tide color tone. A round table and cushioned chairs with no armrests added to the minimalistic look. This was enough for fans to lose their minds.

Fans decode the office-look game between Saban and DeBoer

It’s difficult for the programs to move past the CFB fans’ critical vision. And here comes another significant example. A fan pointed out the cozy look that Saban’s office offered to make one feel at home, while DeBoer’s is more flashy and demands constant attention, “I could easily take a nap in Nick’s office. Deboer’s office feels like I’m signing up for a gym membership that’s gonna cost me $75 a month.”

Another fan’s hilarious comment pointed at how the coaching legend’s workspace would make anyone fall in love in contrast to the new HC’s non-welcoming office get-up, “Saban’s office looks like a place you love working,  DeBoer’s looks like the boss called back all the remote workers.” The distinction has a lot to do with the two generations the coaches belong to. “Boomer vs elder millennial,” commented a fan.

To another fan, Saban’s den immediately puts one in the mood to relax and take it slow while DeBoer’s office sets one in the fast-paced and boring modern life, “Gotta go Saban. It’s relaxed. Chill. Makes me want a cigar and a bourbon. DeBoer’s is fine but it’s like an Apple Store. Clean lines. Cold. VERY bright. Like a museum.”

What struck another fan is the ex-HC’s way of transforming Tuscaloosa into a cozy nest while his successor is a profit-driven pro, “Saban: Warm and cozy with a home feel. DeBoer: Modern with a strictly business feel.” Let’s see who is the boss in the real game!
