What a rollercoaster relationship for Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian and his lady love, Loreal. In 2024, the couple made an announcement on social media about their joint filing for a divorce: “We have decided to amicably part ways and jointly file for divorce.” This might have broken the Longhorns’ fans’ hearts into a million pieces. However, hardly did they know that a big surprise awaited them at the end of the year. Steve’s wife’s engagement ring made a comeback in November, which had been missing since July 2024. Now that the couple has patched up, the fans are now going ‘Awww’ seeing the glimpse of the youngest Sarkisian. 

The 39-year-old Loreal has been married to the 51-year-old Steve since 2020. They have been blessed with a baby boy in April this year. No matter how much the fans are upset with their head coach, Steve’s controversial comment on Arch Manning’s injury, Loreal melted their hearts with her latest post. 

On September 11, the Texas First Lady posted three pictures. The caption must have been enough to make the Longhorns fans emotional. It read, “Every win feels bigger when we share it together, and every challenge feels lighter when we face it as one. Forever proud of us  XOLO 🤍.” But wait, a cute surprise awaited them. The opening shot captured Steve gazing at Loreal, like the boy who had just met his forever crush. But the second picture had their son, Amays, in it.

Steve is captured by Loreal playing a new role, other than being the head coach, which most fans are used to seeing. Like a responsible father, he is seen holding the feeding bottle while holding the little one carefully in his arms. For so long, Loreal has been vocal about his post-pregnancy journey, donning a new role as a mother. As of June 17, Steve’s wife posted on Instagram, “This work life balance looks a lot different these days, but it’s working in our favor ✨ XOLO 🤍.” That’s how she has kept her promise.

While Steve enjoys the limelight as the Texas head coach, Loreal has carved a career path of her own. She is a celebrated fashion stylist with global recognition. Right after her childbirth, she shared, “Hi guys, happy Saturday. Sorry for the bare face… I’ll be back to regular scheduled program sooner than later. Um, but for now, I just want to say thank you so much to all of our close friends and family… And, of course, to all of the new fashionista friends and Longhorn’s nation.” And there she was. 

While Steve kept managing the Longhorns squad, the new mommy, Loreal, started taking baby steps. Her post-pregnancy journey started with a philanthropic endeavor as she joined hands with Patrick Mahomes’ mom, Randy. Loreal wrote, “Honored to have partnered with @randimahomes and an incredible group of football moms for the @antoniancollegeprep Preparatory Golf Tournament! Grateful for the opportunity to support such a meaningful event.” While the baby Sarkisian lits up the Longhorns’ fans’ mood, his dad’s behavior lately might be worrying them a little.

Steve Sarkisian stirs courage with his Arch Manning defense

We all know about the Arch Manning hype. But hardly did fans expect the latest member of the Manning legacy to hit a nose-dive. Steve’s quarterback had a poor showing against Ohio State. Even though he picked up the pieces and brought home a win in Week 2 against San Jose State, concerns loomed in his performance.

He had put up some decent numbers- completed 19 of 30 passes for 295 yards and four touchdowns. Yet it did not take much time for the fans to spot some shakiness in his game, and Manning was seen wincing after some throws. But what made them more upset was Steve’s way of shutting down Manning’s injury rumors. A concerned reporter during the post-game presser asked the head coach, “Arch Manning seemed to be having some throwing pains by the…” “According to who?” came Steve’s fiery counter-question. 

As the conversation rolled with the head coach standing in Manning’s defense, Steve ended the discussion with an inappropriate remark. “He doesn’t have any… I’ve never filmed any of you guys when you’re using the bathroom. So, I don’t know what faces you make when you’re doing that,” the head coach blurted out. 

This even made the Longhorns lose the confidence of their favorite supporter, Paul Finebaum, who tagged Steve Sarkisian’s behavior as “disgusting.” So, while the new battles the pressure cooker, Baby Sarkisian is busy winning hearts and softening the mood.
