Well, lucky are the ones who are blessed with a good head coach to whom they can look up to. But luckier are those who can look up to both their head coaches and their better halves. In this case, which team has been the most fortunate of the lot? Has to be the Texas Longhorns. Carrying with himself an 84-52 record and the owner of the 2024 George Munger Award, 2023 AP Big 12 Coach of the Year, along with a bunch of others, Steve Sarkisian is often celebrated. However, his better half, Loreal Sarkisian, does not live under her husband’s shadow and has created an identity of her own.

The couple had gone through a rough patch. However, they have ironed out the differences. As Loreal considers her IG family as her own, she shared the learning from her experiences. She is now filled with only positivity and is inclined to spread it. After all, Loreal has also embraced motherhood now.

Loreal Sarkisian dons a new role of uplifting her followers’ spirits 

The 2024 season has been pretty tough for the Longhorns fans. Texas as a team rode high, walking into the season with a 12-2 record from 2023. While they knew that the challenges that would come on the gridiron could be shot down, there arose issues somewhere else. Steve and Loreal’s marriage had hit sour notes. So much so, that in July last year, the couple released a statement.

“After many heartfelt conversations, we have decided to amicably part ways and jointly file for divorce,” read their statement. So did they keep their fans in the dark about the potential reason for their split? No. The statement further revealed, “Our commitments to our respective careers made it difficult to prioritize time for each other and this step will provide us with the necessary time and space professionally while continuing to support each other personally.” 

However, things did not take any uglier turn. And fans knew when they saw the big solitaire making a comeback on Loreal’s ring that the two would be together soon. Finally, the couple patched up. Amidst this, both Loreal and Sarkisian continued to grow in their professional lives. While the Longhorns’ head coach led them to the Bowl appearances, Loreal continued to contribute to the world of fashion. Being a wardrobe stylist, she flew off to the Paris Fashion Week. Loreal’s positivity and love towards her profession and life at large often draw fans towards her, even if they do not have anything to do with fashion. Steve’s wife now has a big family on Instagram of 140,000 followers. On May 13, Loreal, a.k.a. Texas First Lady, thought of sharing some thoughts of the day. 

She made a post on IG and wrote, “Life has a beautiful way of surprising you. Read that again.” Loreal believes in minimalistic styling. The pictures she posted showed her in a bodycon dress with a silver chain and a watch. The caption has been as simple as the pictures. But again, as usual, of great learning value.

Loreal wrote, “One day, the things you thought you’d never get over won’t even cross your mind. The peace you once prayed for will quietly settle in. And the life you used to dream about? You’ll be living it. Even if today doesn’t feel like that day, trust, it’s coming. The best parts of your story are still unfolding. XOLO 🤍.” It comes from her own experience. There was a time she had parted ways with Coach Sark. However, after patching up, the duo welcomed a baby boy, Amays.

In the IG post, Loreal also soft-launched her new hobby. Posting a clip of a sewing machine and some printed baby fabrics, she is now the stylist of a very special person. Yes, that’s how Loreal is going forward in her journey of motherhood, sharing her experience with the other mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

Loreal Sarkisian’s words for every woman on Mother’s Day

For Steve Sarkisian, the feeling of fatherhood has set in quite early. He has three kids, daughters Taylor and Ashley, and son Brady from his previous marriage. Even though Loreal shares a close bond with them, this is the first time she’s experiencing being a mom firsthand. And nothing can beat this special feeling. But is it easy to become a mom? Absolutely not. But this bittersweet feeling is to be cherished forever. This Mother’s Day, Loreal got real while talking about her new journey. 

“As a new mom, I’m learning how deep, raw, and powerful love can be. I’m discovering strength I didn’t know I had and grace I didn’t know I needed. But as I hold my baby close today, I also hold space in my heart for all the different paths that lead us into the meaning of ‘mother’. To the brand-new moms: still in awe, still healing, still adjusting, more beautifully than you know.” However, the journey is not the same for everyone. Going through this journey, they are reminded of their own mothers, while others are yet to experience motherhood. Loreal gives all of them a big hug through her words.

“To the moms who are missing their own mothers: today may feel heavy. Your grief is love, and your love keeps them alive in you. To those who long to become mothers: your story is not forgotten. You are not alone.” The Texas First Lady also gave kudos to the single mothers for their resilience. Loreal Sarkisian even joined hands with Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes, for the Antonian College Prep HS. That’s how she kept her promise by returning back to a regular schedule.
