Just like her dad, Warren Sapp, the CU grad assistant’s daughter, Mercedes Sapp, loves living the life big way. From attending concerts to posing in picturesque locations, Mercedes is very active on social media. Now, as her big day is coming up, she has come up with a personal demand.  

On October 17, Mercedes posted a meme on her IG story, from a meme page called “Tykeaslynn | Your Interbek Bestie 🤍.” It read, “For my birthday, I want everyone to tell me how much they love me and why in immense detail using MLA format, 12 point size.” Mercedes was born on November 18, 1997, and will turn 28 this year. Here came Warren’s daughter’s sweet request, “Essays are due Nov 18th, 11:59pm.” 

When it comes to the Buffs coach, Warren never misses a chance to write hearty messages on the day he has been blessed with Mercedes. Last year, sharing a throwback picture, when Mercedes was probably a few months old, Warren wrote, “I only wish, I was still able to hold her like this!! @cedesapp Happy 27th Birthday Captain! I Do Love You So Much! #ProudDad #SappNotFishing #DaddysMonster.” 

Mercedes’ mother, Jamiko, is not that active on social media. However, she too hypes her daughter. For instance, a post from December 14, 2019, her graduation ceremony, the proud mother wrote, “She turned her can’t into cans, and her dreams into plans! Congratulations @cedesapp 🎓🐯 Beyond proud of you baby girl! #MIZ #ZOU #MizzouMade #graduation #mytiger #nextstop #gradschool.” Jamiko’s last Instagram post was made on May 6, 2023. It was months after Mercedes took up the role of Student-Athlete Enhancement Coordinator in the fall of 2022.

So, before Mercedes’ special day, the mom must prep for her social media comeback, with a long, sweet essay for her daughter as a bonus. For her loved ones who are not good with words, here comes Mercedes’ one unfulfilled wish. 

Birthday present ideas for Mercedes Sapp 

Mercedes is an avid lover of rap. Among her highlight sections, there is a dedicated collection for raps. She has posted screenshots for her favorite tracks. There, too, she had dropped a hint for a birthday present she would love to receive. Mercedes shared a reel where a DIY gift is being made.

The caption of the August 12 repost read, “Hi! I created this songbook from the song << See You Again>> by Tyler the Creator.” The postscript read, “Handmande diy gift idea for your love.” Mercedes then flexed Drake’s famous hit “November 18th” which surprisingly is also her birthday date. However, lately, Mercedes could not tick off a concert which might have been on her bucket list. 

On October 14, La La Land Concert posted a screenshot of the itinerary for their world tour. It started with Los Angeles on September 20-21, followed by Nantes on September 27, Lille on October 2, and so on. Reposting the schedule on her IG story, Mercedes playfully pleaded, “Someone take me. Orlando or New York, PLEASEEEE.” 

The breathtaking live-to-film performance by a 53-piece orchestra, led by Academy Award-winning composer Justin Hurwitz himself, will be running till April 11, in New York. While the first few concerts are done, for the ones planning to gift Mercedes can buy tickets for the St Louis concert. That would count as one of the best pre-birthday presents for her, which is going to take place on November 1. However, even then, Mercedes will still be eagerly waiting for the personalized handwritten birthday notes from her loved ones.
