The time has come for Colorado Buffaloes HC Deion Sanders’ three-decade-long pal Bill Goldberg to do the honors. The WWE superstar now steps into Coach Prime’s shows and holds up the imaginary mic. The purpose?

To keep the Buffs’ spirits high now that they have only one mission- to flip the 4-8 script! That being said, Goldberg pumps up the Buffs OT Jordan Seaton with a vocal energy shot. Apart from being Coach Prime’s friend, there is another reason why the wrestling star is so invested in how Colorado performs this season. But why Seaton? After all, he is the player who had kept the Colorado tribe on their toes kicking out any lazy attitude.

Goldberg steps in to lend a hand to Deion Sanders

As the much-awaited 2024 kickoff is here, Deion Sanders might be too worked up ensuring everything is up to the mark. And here entered his best buddy Goldberg to relieve some burden off Coach Prime’s shoulders. The WWE superstar knows how Deion’s pep-talk sessions work like magic as the eleventh-hour energizer. The Sacramento legend stepped into his friend’s shoes. On August 31, Well Off Forever captured the clip and posted it on Instagram.

The video captured a clip from the stadium as Seaton stood in front of Goldberg as a high-spirited crowd kept cheering from the background. The WWE legend star activated his alter ego as a motivator and boosted Seaton. “First impression, man! First impression. And only follow that up like you do it every other f*cking day. They wanna take shit of your play. Don’t let. Good luck! Go, get them!” The pep-talk ended with that much-need tap on Seaton’s chest that came with ‘You can do it’ vibe. Goldberg has dedicated most of his time to Deion’s program it seems. But why?

Bill Goldberg’s trust in Deion Sanders

In case the Colorado Buffaloes are able to flip the narrative and land it big in the Big 12 race, it would be a personal win for Goldberg as well. After all, his 17-year-old son, Gage Goldberg is now a part of Deion’s tribe. It’s evident that his father’s close bond with Coach Prime during their Atlanta Falcons’ stint between 1992 and 1994 propelled him to consider this option.

As their ex-Falcons teammate, Chuck Smith once revealed, “Goldberg was Deion’s ace in the hole. So anyone who wanted to deal with Deion would have to go through Mr. Goldberg. He’d walk into the ring, and nobody would mess with him.” Thirty years down the line, the friendship is still going strong. So much so, that the caring father can blindly trust Deion with his son. Gage was all set to board the Alabama bus, but took a U-turn when Nick Saban retired. And hence, Colorado had to be the second choice, since no other program would make Gage feel at home.

Bill Goldberg himself confirmed, “This is one of the best situations for my son, not only for opportunities both on and off the field but in addition to football, but moreover, I have a good friend of mine. I’m not gonna say watching over Gage, but he can oversee him as a dad.” Hence, being the motivational MVP for his friend’s and son’s team? Just another feather in Goldberg’s cap.
