The 2020-21 college basketball season is already proving to be exciting, but not for everyone as the Kentucky Wildcats are off to their worst ever start in 109 years. This isn’t a proud record for the Wildcats, and their head coach John Calipari is fuming at his team’s recent run of form.
The Wildcats lost to the Louisville Cardinals in a three-point game to suffer their sixth straight loss of the season. Calipari has never begun a season in such a terrible manner in his Wildcats’ tenure so far.
“Let me just say this again, losing stinks. We had our chances, and we had some breakdowns,” said Calipari, according to ESPN.

Kentucky faced Louisville coming off a double-digit loss to UNC on December 20. The Wildcats are painfully adding more misery to their existing woes with each passing game. They seem to gain control but fail to sustain it, which has so far led to a line of defeats.
Saturday’s 52-69 defeat to the Cardinals recorded Kentucky’s sixth straight loss of the season and their worst ever start since 1911. Furthermore, the Wildcats are on a six-game losing streak for the first time since the 1988-89 season.

The Wildcats are yet to play one of their conference members this season, and things are already looking shaky for them at the moment. Their offensive struggles have been majorly visible on the court, and coach Calipari is not worried about admitting to it.
