New Valorant Agent Yoru Feels Like an Upgraded Version of Omen

Riot Games, the developer behind Valorant, has so far only released a magnificent teaser trailer for the new agent ‘Yoru’. The developers invited only a limited few YouTubers and streamers who got a firsthand experience of the agent on the test servers. However, the said agent is causing serious chaos on the servers with his ludicrous abilities outdoing everyone else. The entire kit of this duelist feels heavily inspired from a pre-existing character in Omen, but Yoru seems to outshine him in terms of mobility.

This Valorant agent can break the game
Developers had promised the new agent would be a lurker-duelist, and Yoru fits into the role exactly how he was advertised. He can move around the map with his mobile teleport orbs that he can jump to at will. This new agent can earn more teleportation orb by getting two frags, as it serves as his signature skill. Even though it takes a while to make the jump, but this ability still seems over-powered.
It works with a limited duration and won’t be available after it’s expiration, so to use it, players will have to plan ahead, which makes strategy a crucial aspect of the new agent. He possesses a couple flashbangs similar to those in CS:GO. Players need to ricochet them off the walls and objects for the flash bang to trigger, facilitating easy retakes.

Yoru’s ultimate ability serves as a cherry on top of a perfectly baked cake. He can turn invisible for a limited amount of time, after which he has to step out.
The entire kit of abilities screams bloody murder that works significantly faster than Omen’s abilities.
If you want to see the new agent in action, then check out the video posted by the YouTuber Flexninja below. He was also invited to the server, but for some reason he could not make it. He posted this video reaction to all the aggressive plays that streamers made on test servers while playing Yoru.

Omen might become a thing of the past
It is a possibility that Yoru could render Omen obsolete once he is added into the game. So far, from the clips of the test server, the new agent feels a lot stronger than his peers. Not just that, but he can outmaneuver everyone else in the game if utilized correctly.
The invisibility paired with just the better teleportation makes him a stronger version of Omen. Yoru has two pop flashes in the test server while Omen only gets one. Moreover, Yoru can distract enemies quite easily with fake footsteps and teleport orbs while Omen has to commit his ultimate to fetch a similar reaction.

It will be interesting to see if the agent is released as is in the game or if developers decide to alter and tweak his abilities a bit. But from the looks of it, devs will definitely need to make some adjustments post-launch, as the current version of the agent feels overpowered.
