Aaron Rodgers‘ flirtation with a potential vice presidential candidacy alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has sent shockwaves through the New York Jets organization and their fan base. Just months after orchestrating a blockbuster trade to acquire the future Hall of Famer, the franchise finds itself grappling with uncertainty. The prospect of its prized signal-caller wearing a different kind of uniform – one adorned not with green and white, but the red, white, and blue of American politics.
With each passing day absent unequivocal reassurance from the 39-year-old quarterback, the looming shadow of a paradigm shift in leadership intensifies, casting a pall over the team’s preparations for the upcoming NFL season. Rich Eisen highlighted the same on his show, demanding clarity from the quarterback.

Let the Jets know, Aaron Rodgers!
Legitimate sources like The New York Times have reported that Kennedy has been talking to Rodgers frequently about joining the campaign, even reserving a website domain “kennedyrodgers.com.” These concrete steps make the possibility of Rodgers leaving very real for the Jets.
For Jets fans like Rich Eisen, these indications heighten fears about losing their newly acquired quarterback before he ever takes a meaningful snap. Eisen bluntly stated, “If he’s going to be out of the building because he wants to do this, then he let us know, let the Jets know, let’s go.”
The Jets sacrificed valuable draft capital to trade for the 39-year-old Rodgers during the offseason. His prolonged silence amid the VP rumors threatens to derail the franchise’s plans. As Eisen pointed out, “The longer this goes, the more credence it has that he’s welcomed the overture.”
With the new NFL year approaching, Eisen’s plea reflects the palpable angst coursing through Jets fans desperate for clarity. Have they acquired a franchise quarterback or a political hopeful? Eisen’s demand for Rodgers to inform the Jets underscores the chaos ensuing, setting the stage for…
Eisen’s Plea to Rodgers
Rich Eisen did not hold back words, issuing an impassioned call for Aaron Rodgers to be upfront with the Jets about his intentions amid the VP rumors. “If he’s actually thinking that ..like do the Jets a favor and tell them before it’s too late.. that’s what I thought because as long as this keeps going in my mind damn straight it’s a distraction,” Eisen expressed.

For the longtime media personality and Jets fan, Rodgers leaving the team in limbo is unacceptable. Eisen questioned whether the quarterback was already diverted, asking, “Is he really not answering Sauce Gardner’s texts right now?” referring to the tweet by the Jets CB who posted about the QB not answering him, potentially due to the reason of becoming the next VP.

Eisen recognizes Rodgers’ off-field interests, stating, “I’m not saying he can’t advocate for RFK Jr…and still be a great quarterback.” However, he stressed, “If he doesn’t want to [commit to the Jets], now’s the time to say I’m not doing it.”
The window for resolving this distraction is closing quickly for the Jets. Eisen’s exasperated tone encapsulates fans’ frustrations, stating bluntly, “Let’s go, use draft capital, get Justin Fields…but don’t let the Jets hang out there.” His demand for transparency could prove a turning point.
