Taking to his official X handle, Brown signaled his support for Trump after he decided to legalize marijuana in his adopted home state, Florida. Brown posted, ” “N—- of the Century,” while adding his trademark #CTESPN to the tweet. However, this is not the first Brown has expressed his interest in endorsing Trump in this year’s election.

During an interview with OutKick a few days back, Brown was asked whether he would endorse Donald Trump, to which he shared, “Yeah, I’ll endorse Trump.” Well, his endorsement could be music to Trump as public opinions showed that the majority of Florida spoke in motion of Trump’s measure.

Explaining his decision, on Truth Social, Trump posted, “We need the State Legislature to responsibly create laws that prohibit the use of it in public spaces, so we do not smell marijuana everywhere we go like we do in many of the Democrat-run Cities.” It seems Trump wants the situation to be handled responsibly while preventing people from misusing the law in public spaces.

Coming back to Brown’s support of the former US president, he has been one of the sports figures who openly supports the Republican candidate. Going back a few months, when Trump survived an assassination attempt, the former Steelers WR took to X to showcase his support.

Posting from his official handle, Brown stated, “Cue up Many Men by 50, and we gonna win the presidency in a landslide F—ing Legend of the Decade.” However, Brown’s support for Trump can also be dated back to other incidents that might have caught the eye of former Steelers WR.

Antonio Brown voices his support for Trump, citing the music industry

Speaking with Nick Adams for an interview on Outkick, Brown was asked what ignited his love for Donald Trump. Sharing with us the origins, former seven-time Pro-Bowler stated, “I’ve never met him. I’ve got admiration for his business moves, and I study his dad Fred Trump. But I think Donald Trump is a good businessman and comes from a good family, and has been a good president.”

Continuing on his thoughts about Trump, Brown added, “I think he does some great things for my brothers in the music industry in regards to Lil Wayne, Kodak Black.” It seems the former All-Pro is referring to the pardons and commutations that Trump offered during his final days of presidency.

When Lil Wayne was charged with gun possession, he was looking at a decade in prison, citing felony charges. However, he never made it to the prison as the hip-hop artist was among 143 others who Trump had pardoned on his last day in office. Brown even called out Trump for help, citing, “Trump, if you’re watching this, you need to free Young Thug if you could help out,” who is facing trial before an Atlanta jury in charges of violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations.

Although Trump has yet to respond to Brown’s request, he continues his unwavering support to the former President. But will Brown’s wishes come true as America’s election draws close, similar to the new NFL season?
