Interestingly, the quarterback returned to his form when the squad needed the most. With 6:18 left and the ball at the 31, the squad turned the situation around with an impressive move as they drove 69 yards in 12 plays, and RB Christian McCaffrey rushed up the middle for a 6-yard touchdown. Purdy completed 6 of 7 passes for 47 yards on the final drive, and tight end George Kittle dropped the ball. Purdy also rushed twice for 11 yards for a first down and McCaffrey’s touchdown. This has earned the respect of his coach.
