Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is feeling inspired by his backup quarterback, Jacoby Brissett. After his best game of the season, Harrison Jr. gave a lot of credit to Brissett for being tough in the pocket. Brissett had to step in because the starting quarterback, Kyler Murray, hurt his foot a few weeks ago. As per a post by PHNC Cardinals on their social media handle X, there’s a clip where Marvin says;

“If you see him doing it, you gotta go across the middle and you gotta be able to you know hold on to the ball and do the same thing for him.”

Harrison Jr., who had 96 receiving yards and scored his third touchdown in the last game, said that seeing Brissett handle the pressure makes him want to be just as tough when he catches the ball in the middle of the field. This is a big moment for Harrison Jr., who had faced some criticism, even from his famous father, Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison Sr., about the Cardinals’ offense earlier this season.
Kyler Murray is recovering from his foot injury. While the head coach said Murray will be the starter when he’s fully healthy, doctors have told the team that Murray will need more time to heal. This led to the coach, Jonathan Gannon changing his stance and saying,
“I like what the offense is doing right now,” as per reports by ESPN.

The team officially named Jacoby Brissett as the starter for their upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks on November 9, 2025 (Week 10) after his spectacular game play, where he completed 21 out of 31 passes for 261 yards with two touchdowns.
Harrison Jr.’s praise shows the team has confidence in Brissett as they try to keep winning while Murray is on the sidelines.

What will happen to Kyler Murray if Jacoby Brissett is the next QB for the Cardinals?
The quarterback spot for the Cardinals is suddenly a huge question mark. Everyone thought Kyler Murray was the guy, but a foot injury has completely changed the game.
Murray has been hurt since Week 5, and it looks like he’ll be out for another 4 to 8 weeks. This opened the door for backup Jacoby Brissett, and he’s taking full advantage!

Brissett has led the offense to much better results. The team is scoring more points, and star players like Marvin Harrison Jr. and tight end Trey McBride are having their best games with Brissett throwing the ball. He’s been playing clean football, throwing 7 touchdowns against just 1 interception in his three starts.
This is a major problem for Murray. With Brissett playing so well, and Murray still injured, the Cardinals may not want to risk slowing down their offense by putting Murray back in. The second half of the season will answer the biggest question of all: Will Kyler Murray ever be the starting QB for the Cardinals again, or is his time coming to an end? The answer to this we shall find only as this season proceeds.
