The Chiefs have traveled to Frankfurt to take on the Dolphins in the battle of Germany. And the Kansas Kingdom has brought two of their biggest weapons in the Deutschland. One, as we all know, is quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The other one is the kingdom’s navy vessel, USS ChampionSHIP, sailing at the bank of the Main River.

Looks a bit out of context, right? Well actually, no, if one has been keeping their eyes on the Chiefs’ Germany trip. The team has arranged all kinds of entertainment for their German fans as the team looks to turn back from the Broncos‘ defeat. And, it seems the Chiefs’ championSHIP has accumulated quite a fandom for itself!

In the NFL International match week, the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs have traveled to the land of football (soccer, as the country calls it) to take on the Miami Dolphins. The country’s business capital, Frankfurt, will be the home of the two sides during the trip. Before Sunday’s matchup at the picturesque Deutsche Bank Park, the city gets to taste a sip of the Gridiron culture. Especially the German fans of the previous champs.

The franchise has converted a ferry into a full-fledged fan club for the exclusive experience of the fans. The Chiefs’ championSHIP offers two decks, a small gallery, including their history and player facts, and a broadcasting service for the game. Bottom deck offers a ceremony hall for partying while top deck features an exclusive lounge with a restaurant on it. All for just $48.

The Chiefs’ reporter Mitch Holthus and Matt McMullen have shared an insight into the boat explaining the limited period of services it offers. On the team’s YouTube channel, the duo couldn’t contain their excitement as they revealed the warm welcome they received upon arrival in the country and the excitement fans have been showing ahead of the game. Later in the video, they even showcased two special gifts they received from German football fans, in the form of jerseys.

The last week has been one of the worst among the team’s recent times, especially for Patrick Mahomes. The quarterback fought through his flu and -6°C to take on the Broncos at the snowy Denver, all to finish the game with one digit and lose against the division finishers. In the larger picture, Mahomes got thrown out of a couple of records that reset his progress back by multiple years. Most importantly, it upped the mighty Dolphins’ confidence before the international week. All in all, the Chiefs must hold their nerves tight on Sunday afternoon to make the Germany trip memorable.

For the country’s gridiron fans, it’s a dream come true. They will witness their favorite quarterback-tight end combo take the field that is usually dominated by Thomas Muller or Manuel Neuer.
