Week 18 shattered the Colts’ dream to clinch a playoff berth. The sports analyst Skip Bayless believes Gardner Minshew is responsible for the Colts’ loss! The Houston Texans defeated the Colts with a 19-23 record and broke all barriers to the playoffs. Furthermore, rookie player C.J. Stroud played an integral role in the game with his incredible performance, a rare sight for a rookie QB. Amidst the Colts getting eliminated from the Playoffs, Bayless believes it was Gardner’s fault in the last moment that led to this.

Gardner’s errant pass in the final two minutes was the decisive factor in the Colts’ dismissal, per Bayless. Furthermore, the analyst believed Goodson’s fault was less than Minshew’s in the unfortunate loss. But what exactly did he say about their performance?

In a post on his X account, Bayless shared his view on the errant pass by Minshew. The analyst wrote,” I blame Minshew’s throw slightly more than Goodson’s failure to catch it. Goodson doesn’t see many. I can’t expect him to adjust to a ball behind him with the game on the line.” Bayless didn’t shy away from giving his straightforward opinion to the public. It further threw light on his disappointment with Minshew for his carelessness.

The Colts could not grab the lead, and it remained that way in the last two crucial minutes as well. Minshew missed that crucial throw and while Goodson touched the ball, it was left behind, shattering their Super Bowl hopes. Moreover, C.J. Stroud’s record-breaking performance further made it challenging for the Colts to get the victory.

Interestingly, in his rookie season only, Stroud set the exceptional record of a 75-yard score that was the game-changer for the Texans. Moreover, he has completed 20 of 26 passes with no interception, which makes him the talk of the town.  The Texans were successful in grabbing a playoff spot. On the other hand, Goodson and Minshew were quick to come forth to accept the blame on their shoulders for this game’s loss.

One take at a time

Every NFL fanatic has their "Eureka" story of how they got hooked on the game of tackles and touchdowns. Mine starts from the comfort of my home; sitting beside my dad, on a cozy couch, with a hot cup of tea. Well, that is all that was serene about that scene! The next thing I know, I am screaming and shouting and cheering for the players on the field.
