However, according to NFL insider Amanda Balionis, the Browns have a specific plan to manage his playing time. Judkins is expected to be part of a RB rotation in the backfield as Cleveland looks to earn its first win of the season.

 Balionis said Sunday on CBS Sports HQ, “In terms of their offensive lineup, Judkins will start, but he will be on a pitch count.” She further added,  “Expect for Dylan Sampson to continue to have a big impact like he did in Week 1, along with fellow rookie Harold Fannin. Joe Flacco said, ‘They were two big bright spots for us in Week 1’ and they’ll try and keep the momentum going in Week 2.” 

Judkins, who was the 36th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, signed his four-year rookie contract on Saturday after missing training camp and the preseason due to a legal issue that has since been dismissed by prosecutors. The NFL granted him a two-game exemption, allowing him to not count against the team’s roster last week. While he is cleared to play, the exact number of snaps and touches he will receive remains to be seen, with reports suggesting he could get anywhere from five to ten touches in his debut.
