The injury report for the week 14 Chiefs vs Bills game is out, and the tough time for the defending champions continues. One particular name may bring the most trouble for coach Andy Reid, adding to two other concerns Patrick Mahomes and co. need to overcome before the eventful matchup.

At this point of the season, the Chiefs need a favor from luck to stay relevant in the playoffs. But they don’t seem to be getting matters on their own accord at the moment. Their upcoming opponent Bills, although not entirely fit, is doing much better on the injury end. While battling the forthcoming challenge, who are the missing soldiers for the Chiefs?

According to NFL Insider Ari Meirov, the defending champions will start the Arrowhead showdown without the service of four starters. They are running back Isiah Pacheco, safety Bryan Cook, left tackle Donovan Smith, and linebacker Drue Tranquill. Each one is a concerning miss for the franchise, but Pacheco’s miss will woe the Chiefs the most. In a team dominated by tight end and wide receivers, the rusher has done incredibly well with 830 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Sean McDermott, on the other hand, gets a breathing space. Only two of the Bills players, cornerback Kaiir Elam and tight end Dawson Knox remain questionable. But both had full practice on Friday. So both could be cleared within two days to start the Sunday match-up.

Additionally, QB Josh Allen seems to have finally settled down with his shoulder problem and gets a full clearance to start the game. This scene of return will surely put pressure on the Chiefs, given the dominance Allen executes on the field.

But the concerns don’t end there for the KC team. Andy Reid has some bigger problems to cover if the Chiefs are to turn back from the disappointing Packers‘ loss, and one of those directly connects with Allen.

Two other aspects that could decide the Chiefs vs Bills outcome

While both franchises are going into this match-up having lost their last game, the circumstances couldn’t have been any more separate. On one hand, the Chiefs encountered a disappointing and unexpected loss from the 5-6 Packers. The Bills, on the other hand, pushed the reigning NFC champion Eagles to the edge. And even took the lead at one point in overtime.

This reflects the current stance of the sides, indicating a falter in the winning streak of the Chiefs. The situation is set to provide major confidence to the Bills of being able to grab a victory from the defending champions during this time.

Secondly, the Bills QB has a clear upper hand compared to the reigning NFL and Super Bowl MVP in numbers. Allen leads Mahomes in every other statistic except for pass completions. He was also the season leader in touchdowns (24) a few weeks ago, something which is led by the CowboysDak Prescott now (26).

My story of becoming an NFL writer is as interesting as my story of becoming an MMA practitioner. Coming from such a sport where athletes look to knock the brain cells off each other for a living, I liked the aggression that American Football had to offer. Before I even realized it, I religiously started following American football, picking up the most challenging in-depth write-ups.
