If god created a rookie version of Patrick Mahomes, it would be CJ Stroud. Actually, it already is as the Texans’ rookie QB shattered the record of Chiefs’ QB in the past hours. The Texans dragged the game out of the Buccaneers’ reach slowly, with the fourth quarter alone accounting for 31 points. But the game will be known for something much more exciting, as Stroud broke the all-time rookie QB passing yards record in the win.

The display was so overwhelming it made the NBA’s King James come and cheer for Stroud, despite him recovering from yesterday’s loss against the Magic.

The Lakers lost the Magic matchup despite giving their all, losing 120-101. Captain LeBron James is understandably the one with the most grievance given his added responsibility. But Texans’s CJ Stroud made his day light up with his 470-yard, 5-touchdown display against the Buccaneers. Especially when the point forward really needed it.

King James has wasted no time in sharing his appreciation for the rookie quarterback, as this post suggests.

James wrote “C.J. Stroud”, followed by a few shouting emojis, and ending with “That’s all”. Implying his name spoke for itself. And it really did. Just ask the clueless Bucs defense that couldn’t believe what was happening every time Stroud threw a pass. Patrick Mahomes would be proud.
