The history is repeating itself once again as the Dallas Cowboys go head-to-head with the Green Bay Packers in a home game. The Green Bay Packers already got a lead in the first quarter and is currently sitting at 20-0 as Dak Prescott and his team sit and watch the Packers run down to the end zone.

For some, the sluggish start might be reminiscent of the past and some would even go as far as to call it a classic Cowboys playoff game. They have been known for their historically bad performance in the playoff games. It’s safe to say that the Packers are running circles around the team.

History repeats itself for the Dallas Cowboys

Not only the Cowboys but the fans are also frustrated with the abysmal start. The game has just begun, and the chances of the Dallas team recovering are becoming low by the minute. A tweet from John Clark of NBC shared his frustration on X with a tweet captioned, “Cowboys are doing their playoff Cowboys thing. Down 14-0. Wow”

The video shows the second touchdown of the game as Aaron Jones forces himself down to the end zone. Apparently, Field Yates is also unhappy with the bad start and tweeted out, “This is the first home game all season the Cowboys did not score a first quarter touchdown.”

Speaking about history, how can we forget “The catch”? The 1981 NFC Championship game when the Cowboys became complacent in the last moment of the game as Joe Montana flipped the tables on America’s team.

It is only appropriate to bring up the 2014 NFC Divisional Round Game against the Packers. Tony Romo’s deep pass to Dez Bryant was overruled and the Dallas’ team lost an unsuspecting game. The game became a point of controversy and remains one of the most discussed ones to this day.

Come 2016 and Aaron Rodgers enters the picture. Again, in 2016 NFC Divisional Round Game, the Cowboys saw themselves going against the Packers. Aaron Rodgers did the unimaginable and was able to clinch a tied-up game with 3 seconds remaining on the clock.

As it happens, the Cowboys find themselves hosting the Packers at the AT&T Stadium under similar circumstances. There is time to bounce back, but whether the Packers would give them that chance is highly doubtful.
