About a year ago, Justin Jefferson made revelations about the 10 things that he can’t live without. Of course, that list included his stylish pair of sunglasses, Cologne (his favorite perfume), watches, music, car, and brothers – Jordan and Rickey. In addition, we all know how obsessed the Minnesota Vikings’ wide receiver is with his flashy jewellery, especially the neckpieces. But that’s not all! The Louisiana native is also blessed with a dance skill, “Griddy,” that many of his fans and teammates try to follow. And guess what? A new person just registered his name on this list.

This weekend, Miami saw an F1 race, as many sports celebrities and internet personalities came up to support their stars during the competition. However, Oscar Piastri was on a roll himself as he wasn’t showing any signs of slowing down. The Australian race driver just nailed his third straight win at the Miami Grand Prix, and that makes four out of six this season.

The 24-year-old’s charging full speed toward the championship, and the energy around him was electric. And right there in the crowd, soaking it all in, was NFL star Justin Jefferson, cheering him on like a proud fan. But what came next would have made the WR even prouder, as after winning the drive, Piastri tried to hit the griddy on the track, finishing the challenge that Jefferson gave him before the matchup. It was a shy moment for him, as the racer took to his official Instagram account and sent the WR a message: “All right, it’s Justin. I came through on the bet. I attempted the gritty.”

Continuing his stance on the dance moves, the F1 winner added, “Was it pretty? No. Did I stay true to my word? Yes. Thanks for the inspiration. Hope you enjoyed.” Piastri laughed and thanked Jefferson for his teaching and challenge. And oh, he even made a clear statement on his future dance move hopes – “And yeah, that is the first and only time I’ll do the gritty. I’ll leave it up to you. So thank you very much.” Well, at least you tried it, Piastri.

And yeah, we get it, wearing the heavy helmet and a proper racing tracksuit, it might be difficult for a beginner. Nevertheless, Justin Jefferson also taught him well before the race, as he, too, had a message for the McLaren team player.

Justin Jefferson is a great teacher, after all!

Justin Jefferson brought his Louisiana roots straight to the F1 grid. He linked up with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri in Miami for a dance moment before the game, and the moment had everyone smiling. With the big race around the corner at that time, Jefferson showed out, teaching Piastri how to hit “The Griddy,” the dance that’s become his signature since his LSU days.

So, while explaining, Jefferson kept it simple – “heel to heel.” It’s just done while tapping your heels, swinging your arms, and throwing your B’s like a pro. And Piastri? Ah, the man gave it a try, soaking in every move with that rookie charm. Besides this, Vikings‘ WR also promised the young racer, “I’m telling you it’s gonna go viral. Okay. I’m telling you….No one has ever done it in racing……You’ll be the first one.” Indeed, the video went viral. So, when the racer was able to try his best, Jefferson dropped a tweet on his X, sharing Piastri’s Griddy move, while praising him: “OSCARRRRRR!!! LETS GOOOOO.” Well, the teacher finally gave the racer a nod for his attempt!

No doubt, what started in Louisiana in 2019 as a celebration now lives in end zones, TikToks, and even pit lanes. For Justin Jefferson, it’s more than a dance – it’s pride, it’s home, and it’s about bringing his city’s flavor wherever he goes!
