The Philadephia Eagles and their fans may encounter a massive setback in the long run. And right at the center of it is none other than quarterback Jalen Hurts. Although not initially hinted at, his latest injury update could lead to a bigger problem that might eventually hurt the Iggles. While it is impossible to tell he isn’t at 100% with the latest displays, insider reports suggest otherwise.

Hurts looked like his best version coming up against the Commanders. Not only did he account for 29/38 throws and 319 yards, but he also had 4 touchdowns in his name. However, news recently came out that the quarterback was far from his best, at least physically. And his on-field performances might not distract the reality for long.

Hurts has been battling with a knee bruise for four weeks now. It’s hard to believe that’s actually the case, given what happened afterward. This shocking news was brought forth by Fox Sports NFL reporter Jay Glazer, which was eventually shared by ProFootballTalk. However, despite such a serious concern, the star QB didn’t make it to the Eagles and the NFL’s injury report.

Astonishingly, this information was made public just minutes before the Commanders’ kickoff by the account. It even raised concerns among the Eagles’ fans. While they might be happy to see the QB outdo the Commanders, there is still uncertainty surrounding its long-term effect.

Jalen Hurts is as good as ever, but for how long?

Just when things were getting interesting for the Eagles, the Hurts update landed them in a pickle. Personally, the bruise was among the least of the concerns for Hurts as he started the game looking as good as ever. The quarterback accounted for 29/38 throws, 319 yards, and 4 touchdowns. That, combined with his last Dolphins game, brings his total to a massive 598 yards and 6 touchdowns against two highly spirited opponents.

The hopes were building around him, and back-to-back Super Bowl appearance was looking within reach, but the Hurts Jeopardy came out of nowhere, and now it surely has changed the Eagles’ mood. If the problems intensify for the QB, it will cause a headache for Nick Sirianni and the team. The head coach faces an enormous challenge with almost no time to find a replacement for the quarterback if the situation arises.

Luckily for him and the Eagles, Hurts has never talked about it publicly, insisting the issue may not be serious. He certainly doesn’t look like someone who needs recovery time. But the Eagles may not risk things with their most productive players, especially as long as they are in hands.

Currently, Hurts can give Sirianni and the fans something to enjoy as the Eagles edged past the spirited Commanders in a nail-biting duel despite Sam Howell’s best efforts.
