During his time with the Seattle Seahawks, like clockwork, Russell Wilson would stroll into Seattle Children’s Hospital every Tuesday—not for headlines, but for hugs, laughs, and a little hope. Even after tough losses or grueling games, he’d show up, chatting with kids battling cancer, bringing light to their day.
And then there’s the Why Not You Foundation that he started back in 2014. Through his foundation, Wilson, along with his wife, Ciara, raised millions for education, fed families, and even started a clothing brand where part of every sale goes to charity. No wonder the Giants‘ quarterback recently attended the TIME100 Impact Dinner.
On Friday, Russell Wilson took to his official Instagram handle and shared a few pictures with none other than David Beckham while attending the TIME100 Impact Dinner in New York City on Thursday. “What a Time. @TIME 100. @DavidBeckham,” Wilson captioned his post. The pictures featuring the quarterback in a style and swagger stitched into every thread of that grey checkered suit.

Like, it’s not too loud, not too basic—but it was tailored like it was made during a timeout. Now, let’s talk about that black tie—clean, classic, no nonsense. Was he giving a major CEO kind of vibe? Well, you can say that. But let’s not forget that the Giants’ quarterback was at the TIME100 Philanthropy event.
And Beckham? Like you don’t know about his dressing style. The Soccer legend showed up dressed like James Bond had a fashion-forward younger brother. If you zoom in and give a look at that double-breasted black suit, you’ll find it as smooth as his old free kicks. And his tie? Let’s just say the man could probably tie that wide-angled black tie in his sleep, all while rocking in a light, neatly trimmed beard for the night.
Long story short, the two great athletes showed up at an event and made just one thing clear: their style isn’t just limited to the field, it’s well beyond that.

Time recognized David Beckham for his philanthropic work
For the past couple of decades, David Beckham has been out there helping kids overcome bullying, violence, and lack of education through his work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Back in 2015, the year that marked the 10th anniversary of Beckham with UNICEF, the soccer legend launched “7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund.”
So, when TIME honored Beckham in its 2025 inaugural TIME100 Philanthropy for his work supporting vulnerable youth worldwide, it surely made sense, given that he’s one of UNICEF’s longest-serving Goodwill Ambassadors. “I am so honoured to be included in the TIME 100 most influential leaders in philanthropy. Thank you for allowing me to highlight the important work @unicef is doing around the world,” he shared on his Instagram. “Children need us now more than ever.”

Beckham attended the event along with his wife, and fashion designer, Victoria Beckham, who made her presence felt at the event in a sharp black tuxedo jacket and pants while pairing her look with pointed-toe black boots. Right after that went down, she penned a heartfelt note for David, expressing how proud she is of her husband.
“So proud of you, @davidbeckham. You put your heart in everything you do, and your passion for giving back and helping others continues to inspire me every day,” she captioned. “Being recognised in the 2025 #TIME100 Philanthropy issue is such a special honor — and so deserved! Love you always xx.” Besides David Beckham and Russell Wilson, the NBA icon, Stephen Curry, along with his wife, Ayesha Curry, and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, were also in attendance.
