Harrison Butker isn’t just the guy nailing clutch kicks for the Chiefs—he’s also got a knack for making headlines off the field. Whether it’s his strong opinions, viral speeches, or just being unapologetically himself, Butker has never shied away from speaking his mind. Sure, his strong opinions led to some off-field controversies, but still the guy’s been a cornerstone for the Chiefs for a long time. And now? Well, he’s back in the spotlight again.

But this time, it’s not because of his on-field performance or some controversial take—it’s about who he’s been spending time with. On Thursday, Official White House Account—Special Assistant to the President, Margo Martin, hopped on her official ‘X’ handle and revealed that the Chiefs’ kicker recently met with President Donald Trump. “The GOAT of kicking @buttkicker7 meets the GOAT of Presidents @realDonaldTrump,” she wrote in her post.

Martin shared a photo of Butker standing by the President’s side in the Oval Office. Additionally, according to ABC News, Butker also reportedly had a visit in the White House Press Briefing Room where he took photos with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. However, neither the star kicker nor the White House has disclosed the reason behind Butker’s trip to the White House.

The guy has been making headline ever since he made that speech on several topics in the last summer at Benedictine College. The topics mainly included COVID, President Joe Biden’s policies, Pride month and the role of women and men in society. That said, there’s no denying that Harrison Butker is probably the most outspoken conservative in all of pro sports.

Ever since the Chiefs drafted Butker back in the 2017 NFL draft, the 29-year-old played every season with the Kansas City team. To make things more spicy, the guy appeared in every postseason of his 8-year long career. And how can we forget his game-winning field goal back in the Super Bowl LVII against the Eagles?

Butker entered yet another Super Bowl after the Chiefs’ back-to-back win in the last two seasons. However, the team suffered a brutal loss to the Eagles in the Super Bowl LIX. Speaking of the Eagles’ Super Bowl win, the team’s making headlines lately. Oh no, we aren’t talking about how they took down the Chiefs. It’s about their White House invitation drama that’s as tense as a courtroom scene in Suits.

Will the Eagles visit the White House after Harrison Butker?

When Jalen Hurts and the Eagles crushed the two-time defending champs in the Super Bowl earlier this month, one question was on everyone’s mind—will President Donald Trump invite the Super Bowl champs to the White House or not? However, recent rumors suggested that the Philadelphia team had rejected Trump’s invitation.

The rumors sparked debate over whether the Eagles had ignored Trump’s invitation after their Super Bowl win. Media personality Megyn Kelly took to her ‘X’ account and slammed the Super Bowl champs, writing, ‘GO F YOURSELVES, EAGLES.’ But after the debate gained traction, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport clarified that while the team ‘would be honored’ to visit if invited, no such invitation had been issued. Besides, a White House official also clarified that the Eagles hadn’t received an invitation.

However, as it appears, Donald Trump seems to put an end to this overall drama. On Tuesday, Trump confirmed the Eagles’ invitation after praising the team’s performance in the Super Bowl. “I thought it was a great performance by them and, absolutely, they’ll be extended that invitation…We’re going to do that sometime today and they deserve to be down here, and we hope to see them,” he said.

Finally, following weeks of speculations and unnecessary debate, the Eagles are all set to visit the White House and meet President Donald Trump. However, we may have to wait a little bit more.
