For the first time in three months, someone other than Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is looking to make headlines at a Chiefs game. It’s the parent gang, Ms. Kelce and Mr. Swift. While the singer is busy with her Eras Tour’s Brazil phase, Travis Kelce will not meet her date this time. But the TE will have no shortage of voices to cheer for him from the VIP Box. Or, rather against him, as it may turn out.

The Chiefs vs. Eagles game is just days away, and it’s possibly the most heated game of the entire calendar year mostly due to the recent Vince Lombardi rivalry between the two sides but fueled by Scott Swift’s latest antics. In this context, Papa Swift is also invited to Arrowhead on Monday.

Donna Kelce, the mother of the TE, recently appeared for an interview with ExtraTV’s Billy Bush, where she described her experience while watching the documentary Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. Later, she added she would be present at the Eagles game to cheer on her son. On the other hand, Papa Swift is also expected to make an entry into the game with the singer’s mom, per Entertainment Tonight.

The claim is further strengthened by the Chiefs’ official invitation to the former stockist on multiple social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. They have also added a pretty cryptic caption, “Welcome to the good side, Papa Swift!” — seemingly taking a jibe at their arch-nemesis. Mr. Swift can also be seen wearing a Chiefs’ lanyard in the post while meeting TE Travis Kelce, the current face of the Chiefs.

By ‘nemesis,’ we mean the Philadelphia Eagles, which Mr. Swift is an avid fan of and a city resident. Now that we know that he is making an entrance to Arrowhead alongside Mama Kelce, the only thing that remains to be seen is which side he cheers for. Being a former stockist, he is smart enough to dress up casually, angering neither side, but that is mostly speculation. And the on-time reveal is for sure going to be an interesting one.

The playing side of things, too, remains equally interesting. The mid-season game is the Mini Bowl before the ultimate glory comes, and one quarterback is taking notes, being relatively under the radar.

Travis Kelce-Jason Kelce lock horns as Mahomes looks for domination

Between the battle of the Kelce brothers, Patrick Mahomes is that quiet kid who is not even taken seriously and tops the exam. Except, Mahomes isn’t silent, and he is, indeed, taken with utmost seriousness. The quarterback will be looking to end this relatively new rivalry with a dominant win here.

Things, however, may come as a surprise. The Eagles are still the better side on paper, with fewer losses. They maintain a better distribution and balance on the field, with Jason Kelce being the center of it. The Chiefs went into the Broncos game being the favorites, but the result did not go as expected.

So Patrick Mahomes must be taking notes to avoid any of those mistakes and surprise the Philly natives in the VIP Box by winning or defeating. Now, which side they take remains a bigger question than the Mini Bowl itself.

My story of becoming an NFL writer is as interesting as my story of becoming an MMA practitioner. Coming from such a sport where athletes look to knock the brain cells off each other for a living, I liked the aggression that American Football had to offer. Before I even realized it, I religiously started following American football, picking up the most challenging in-depth write-ups.
