And by best friend, we mean his wife, Mackenzie, who cheers the ups and tackles the downs in Skipper’s life. It is often said behind every man’s success is a woman, and to this, Dan would agree. Right from his college days, one of the constant supports in his life has been his wife. Even as he got shuffled around among teams, she held his hand.

So, let’s tell you more about the woman who completes the household of the Lions’ OT. She is his biggest supporter, on the field and off.

Who is the Lions OT’s wife?

Skipper met his college sweetheart at the University of Arkansas. Their love story had sports play a huge part. Dan took her on their first date at Razorback Stadium. But it wasn’t easy. In fact, he had to ask her out thrice before she actually said yes to a date! They have not looked back ever since.

According to her husband, Mackenzie is the best wife, teammate, businesswoman, mom, and supporter. One could say she is a queen with several jewels on her crown. Aside from being a rock in her house, she is also a boss woman! Mackenzie is in the events industry and owns Alpha-Lit Marquee Letters and Lit Photo Studio in Dallas. The former she started when she struggled to find marquee letters for her own wedding!

Despite being a busy businesswoman, Mackenzie is always there to support her husband on game nights from day one. “Proud of you #70. Dang proud of this team. It’s a W in my book,” Mackenzie wrote for her husband on one of her Instagram posts.
