Sixteen years after being drafted in the NFL, he still ravages other teams to be among the elite class of quarterbacks in the league, Aaron Rodgers is truly a legend in the making and has already well succeeded Brett Favre during his tenure with the Green Bay Packers. The 21st century has been the Rodgers era for the franchise and he still continues to impress.
However, the Green Bay Packers weren’t the team Aaron Rodgers was looking to be drafted by. The young quarterback had been a true Niner fan ever since he was a kid. Rodgers has grown up watching quarterback Steve Young lead his San Francisco 49ers to three Super Bowl wins.

During the 2005 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers were in desperate need of a quarterback. The top two highlighted QBs that draft season were Aaron Rodgers from California and Alex Smith from Utah. Yet when the big moment arrived, Niners went with the latter, leaving Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers insults San Francisco 49ers
Rodgers was eventually drafted by the Green Bay Packers as a 24th pick overall. However, young Rodgers was disappointed to see his favorite team bail on him. And so in a personal interview after the draft, Rodgers made a savage and hilarious statement insulting the 49ers for not selecting him.

The reporter asked, “How disappointed are you that you will not be a 49er?” And the young Rodgers replied, “Not as disappointed as the 49ers would be to not draft me.” And Rodgers has proved that statement right season after season ever since that day. He has also led the Packers to a Super Bowl win in 2010, while the Niners face a Super Bowl drought since 1994.
