The 2024 edition of the Pro Bowl had an unexpected highlight. The former New York Giants quarterback wooed the audience showcasing his off-field skills in a rap battle. The two-time Super Bowl MVP, stole the spotlight as Manning faced off against comedian Supa Hot Fire in a memorable musical showdown. 

As the NFC’s victory over the AFC took a backseat, Manning added a humorous twist to the rivalry with Tom Brady. His mic-drop moment sheds light on the legacy of two football icons. 

Manning caught all the attention by trolling the seven-time Super Bowl winner, Brady. His rap line,I’m Eli Manning. I’m nice. Tom Brady’s the GOAT. Sike, I beat him twice.” brought forward his comedic timing as well as served as a reminiscence to the Manning-Brady rivalry.

The two former quarterbacks had tough tensions between them when they served the NFL between 2001 and 2015. During this tenure, Manning and Brady played each other seventeen times. Referring to this period, the Giants with Manning defeated the then Patriots quarterback in Super Bowl XLII 17-14.  

It was in Super Bowl XLVI, four seasons later that Manning yet again took charge over the title, in a close tussle with Brady and claimed a 21-17 victory. These two victories find recognition in Manning’s latest rap. Hence, the playful jab adds another chapter to the friendly banter between the two legends and fans could not keep their calm.  

Fan frenzy surrounding Manning’s rap

In the aftermath of Manning’s unexpected foray into the rap battle, fans erupted in the spectrum of reactions being taken aback by the intersection of football and hip-hop culture. A fan connected Manning’s rap performance with Brady’s potential return for another season, “Now Tom Brady’s in a meeting to come back next season thanks to this guy”.

The ripple effect continued as another admirer highlighted the surprising lyrical prowess of the two-time Super Bowl MVP, “Eli got the BARS”. Manning’s ability to seamlessly change tracks from football to rapping left fans in awe, as one of them humorously pleaded, “Cool him down pls  Eli is our GOAT.” The hilarious reference to Manning’s track made a fan express their excitement about the rap, “Brady dis track to follow, I love this!”
