There is (and always will be) only one Tom Brady. The NFL legend himself feels so. But a young upstart is ready to challenge him and wrest his laurels.

Expectations are rising for the Chicago Bears rookie Caleb Williams to beat the TB12 with his Super Bowl records. But Brady, who seldom indulges in pessimism, has a brutal confession to make. Brady will not be convinced about someone breaking his “hard to achieve” seven-time Super Bowl record, but he ensures this message reaches the fans and Williams alike maturely, avoiding the path of discouraging the Bears QB. But Williams’ mobile phone tells a different story this time.

Brady breaks down reality for Williams without breaking the Bears QB’s morale

The NFL Network podcast hosts had Brady talk about the possibility of a competitor’s dream to beat the GOAT. To trounce the TB12 has been Williams’ lofty goal even before transitioning from USC Trojans. Aren’t these incredibly difficult for a rookie QB who is yet to make his first NFL snap? Brady definitely feels so, but again Tom Brady is TOM BRADY for a reason. Instead of breaking Williams’ morals with caustic attacks, the TB12 thought it best to give Williams’ aspirations a reality check.

Brady doesn’t discourage young talents as policy, but now and then he stresses the most crucial element: hard work and only hard work. Encouraging Williams for not letting go of his power to dream big, Brady advised, “They should have high goals. But at the same time, it’s hard to achieve them. And I really look forward to seeing that process unfold. That’s really where the hard part comes, for sure.” The Bears QB’s complete dedication to his goal allows him to handle anything that is thrown at him. So much so that he now manifests this dream by setting a unique lock screen on his phone.

Williams’ manifestation to make the Brady dream come true

Wondering what Williams’ next big goal is? Try to grab a sight of his iPhone lock screen. This has been a ritual that has been going on for a long time now. Before the NFL draft, it was set with his short-term goal being the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Now here is another one, winning eight, yes, eight Super Bowls. But no wonder this is definitely going to be his long-term goal.

He has become completely consumed by this goal, to the point where he easily replaced his idol, Aaron Rodgers, with Brady in his heart. All kudos to the TB12’s seven-time record that might have allured the Bears as he now chases the unanimous GOAT. The Bears rookie is very particular about what he wishes to derive from the NFL. On The Pivot podcast, Williams confessed, “I want to play at one place for 20 years and chase one guy, No. 12 (Tom Brady).”

Williams seems to have crossed the first step toward achieving his dream. On May 19, he just got lucky to be a part of a face-to-face interaction with Tom Brady who shared advice with him and a bunch of other rookies over brunch in Los Angeles. It’s now to be seen how sensibly Williams turns the GOAT’s advice as stepping stones to achieve eight rings.
