The tight end came in quite aggressively, shoving the Chiefs head coach so hard that he almost lost balance, after which clips of Kelce screaming his vocal cords out in Reid’s face went viral. The world stands divided on it, many taking the understanding approach, while others are baffled about Kelce’s behaviour. Julian Edelman, along with following both approaches towards the controversy, was reminded of another incident from back in the day.

Edelman mentioned that fits of rage on the sideline is a common thing, even the GOAT Tom Brady wasn’t spared from it.
“I was there when Tiquan Underwood you know ran a wrong route the back end zone and Billy O’Brien and Tom Brady were mfing each other right on the sideline like this,” recalled Julian Edelman. The incident dates back to 2011, when Brady was about to score another point against the Washington Redskins when he got picked off in the end zone. When he got back to the sideline, Brady told the intended receiver Tiquan Underwood that he had to make a better effort to come back to the football since he had been under-cut.All of this ended up with O’Brien loaded, as he lashed out at Brady, and Brady too did not hold back as, along with a match of the ball, a match of yelling also unfolded at Gillette Stadium. Hence, witnessing a glimpse of the passion these players have for their sport, Edelman understood where Kelce’s rage came from.
Julian Edelman understands Travis Kelce
“With the relationship that they’ve developed over last 12 years, I can understand coming from you know a very emotional game from an emotional player who’s probably the heartbeat of their team,” confessed Edelman on the Colin Cowherd show.
Hence, he concluded his verdict on the situation with a simple, “I didn’t like seeing it but I can understand.” However, with Julian Edelman picking up the middle way out, the controversy continues gaining fire.
