The US presidential candidate, Robert F Kennedy Jr.’s campaign has officially confirmed the name of football legend Aaron Rodgers on the short-list to be his running mate for the vice-presidential rank. And who better person to comment on this new responsibility of the former quarterback, other than Rodgers’ close friend Pat McAfee? The former NFL punter turned media personality is not convinced of the chances of Rodgers having a successful run.
In the latest episode of “The Pat McAfee Show”, he came up with how low the probability is for Rodgers to win the election while participating in the race to become the 50th Vice President of the USA, he has started to do his research. Being successful with his investigation, McAfee came up with certain insights, “So I reached out to a source says from my understanding there is a chance that said person, that potential future vice president for an independent president if that was ever to happen the first time ever in history the United States of America, never really got more than like I think 4% Vote or something correct.”

As per BetMGM UK, since Kennedy Jr. belongs to an independent party, he has +3300 odds to win the 2024 presidential election and remains behind current VP Kamala Harris, California Governor Gavin Newsom, President Joe Biden, and top the list, Donald Trump. Going by this report, McAfee seems to be skeptical and dashed his friend for assuming the new role far away from the field of sports.
Why Aaron Rodgers is no longer on the Pat McAfee Show?
In January 2024, McAfee announced that quarterback Rodgers would no longer appear on ESPN’s, “The Pat McAfee Show”. The decision came after the NFL player passed a remark about comedian, Jimmy Kimmel and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. McAfee claimed, “Some of his thoughts and opinions piss off a lot of people. I’m pumped that that is no longer going to be every single Wednesday of my life, which it has been for the last few weeks.”

Rodgers’ comments drew sharp criticism from Kimmel as he vehemently denied his association with Epstein. However, even after all this, Rodgers refused to apologize. Hence, McAfee emphasized that even though the United States allows freedom of speech, individuals must be responsible for their words.
Although it is unknown whether McAfee’s lack of confidence in Rodgers sprang from this negative experience, for him, Rodgers’ prospect in the Vice Presidential role does not hold much hope. With the election to be held on November 5, 2024, it is now to be seen whether McAfee emerges to be accurate with his predictions about Rodgers.
