Cristiano Ronaldo will be one of the celebrities to be a part of the crypto scandal

Ronaldo, one of the best football players in the world, is currently facing a $1 billion lawsuit over the advertisements he’s made for Binance. Binance announced the collection of CR7 NFTs in 2022, but after a year, their valuation dropped from $77 to a staggering $1.

SEC chair Gary Gensler said, “When celebrities endorse investment opportunities, including crypto-asset securities, investors should be careful to research if the investments are right for them, and they should know why celebrities are making those endorsements.” But while Ronaldo struggles to keep his name out of all the legal worries, he will have Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes team joining him in the cryptocurrency scams.
