The speech was enough to cause waves in the football community, as it was concerning one of the most in-vouge topics: the Tom Brady v. Bill Belichick controversy.

Skip Bayless’ beliefs regarding the hot topic were pretty brutal themselves as he credited Belichick’s success to Tom Brady. Taking his side on the debate, Bayless opined that “Bill only won championships because of Tom Brady.” This was the only prompt that Barkley needed to unleash his fury on the football analyst.

He did not think twice before accepting unapologetically, “You know how much I hate Skip Bayless. I hate him with every fiber. Sometimes he makes me want to gain weight back so I can hate him with even more weight,” on the Dan Patrick show. Well, he has his reasons. “People send me these hot takes and I love going hard at people. Because to sit there and say, ‘Bill only won championships because of Tom Brady,’ that’s stupid and asinine,” admitted Barkley.

The comment was particularly aimed at Bayless’s hot take where Tom Brady deserves 75 percent of the credit for the New England Patriots dynasty. Whereas, for Belichick, he claimed that the Patriots head coach was a ‘glorified defensive coordinator’. Well, Barkley was not only against Bayless but also what he had to claim about Belichick.

Charles Barkley defends Bill Belichick
