From forced smiles to genuine tear-jerking jokes, the Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady on Sunday Night had everything. Unfiltered savage jibes at Tom Brady (and indirect ones at others) made up for a true unfiltered hilarious tirade at the Kia Forum. Nikki Glaser’s iconic Gronk-accented ‘Me know that not real money’ crypto scam comment undoubtedly won the evening. Ben Affleck, however, faced criticism even worse than Kim Kardashian being booed: getting ranked as the “worst” among the A-list roasters in the three-hour live event.

“Fans have your back,” Affleck started. “You guys out there talking sh*t, all right, behind your f*cking keyboard, that doesn’t make you a fan. That makes you a b*tch,” an angry Affleck said in his slurry of wrath. It didn’t take much time for him to make one big realization in real time: His aggrieved speech, meant to honor Brady, was not playing out that well.

Recoiling, he said jokingly with a serious underscore, “I don’t think I’ll ever get this chance again. I’m probably never going to work again, actually, after tonight.” Too little, too late, since the fans had already started throwing numerous digs at him. Pat McAfee just wrapped all of it up neatly with a bow on top during his Pat McAfee Show. “Which one’s gonna be the worst?” was McAfee’s question, one for which he didn’t need a second beat to answer, “It’s Ben Affleck, no questions asked.”

“They should have said like, ‘Hey, you’re one of the greatest thespians of all time, why don’t you act like a comedian for a night?Pat McAfee said, wisely putting to use the good thing or two he gathered from the GROAT. “He refused to do that. He went to tell a little bit of a story, going through Tom Brady’s social media, certainly fascinating. If you see people that sucked last night, everybody’s pointing at this guy. And that’s a shame,” McAfee said.

In fact, some fans even accused the actor of looking too different, saying, “Why does his face look so different? It’s almost like he had some nip & tucks done.” Another one added, “THIS is Ben Affleck?”. Of course, the actor denied said accusations and claims that he hasn’t had any surgery done.

Affleck started hurling expletives the moment he stepped up to the dais, not on Tom Brady, but at his critics instead. Affleck directed his anger at social media users who hide behind their anonymity to criticize Brady. As opposed to the theme of the evening as it was, it didn’t work for Brady’s roast. Neither did his facial appearance, as the fans speculated it to be a byproduct of surgical enhancements.

As if inviting some pretty burning comments like ‘cringeworthy‘ and ‘unhinged’ for his commentary wasn’t bad enough, Affleck garnered some more of those harsh comments for his flawless-looking face. Fans speculated that Affleck had undergone some surgical enhancements for his appearance on Netflix’s roast and later at Met Gala.

Fans did not hold back in calling out the different-looking Affleck with phrases like ‘fresh from a fresh lift’ that left him ‘melty looking’. His wife, JLo, on the other hand, garnered some sweet, sweet praise for her flawless outfit for the Met Gala 2024.
