“I thought stressful was not having Super Bowl rings.” Tom Brady did not take it easy on Baker Mayfield. And many of you might side with the GOAT here. Sure, Mayfield is popping off in the 2024 season. Still, it does not make him that big to say ‘Guys weren’t having fun’ under Brady in Tampa. Right? And now, the 7-time SB winner has taken to his socials for a little off-beat lesson in boundaries.

Tom Brady took to his Instagram story to share a message with his followers. The image read: Being a good person has nothing to do with how much you tolerate. You can be kind and giving and still know where your limits are. It’s called being human and having boundaries.”

He did not have much to add to it. I mean, you really do not need many words of your own when you share such a preachy thought. But Brady did add an obligatory ‘Amen’ to show he believed in what he had preached.

You can speculate it’s indirectly hinted at the beef between him and Baker, but that would be stretching it. However, what’s not stretching is the fact that Brady did not take Baker’s comments kindly.

He really did take it to heart and retorted live on-air. And let us tell the ex-Pats and Bucs QB did not hold back. Brady went all in saying when he came to Tampa it wasn’t a daycare. “If I wanted fun, I would have taken my kids to Disneyland.” Uff!

But, hey, in Mayfield’s terminology, everyone just made all this drama up out of nothing! Sure. But what’s a story without some backtracking, right? After all the back and forth, the Bucs’ QB1 finally addressed the heat. About time.

Baker Mayfield meant Tom Brady’s aura was different!

Tom Brady had nothing but praise for Baker Mayfield after the Bucs’ 33-16 win, naming him the “LFG Player of the Game” and giving a nod to his leadership on the field. Huh?! Quite the shout out from the GOAT, right?

Um, it was part of the FOX procedures, so there’s hardly anything that could have been done there. While Brady gave him props, there was no direct conversation between the two about their earlier comments.

Mayfield did address it later in the post game presser, though, clarifying that his words were taken out of context. “None of it was personal,” he explained. “That’s just the aura of Tom Brady—he demanded the best, and that’s how he brought a championship to Tampa.” You gotta respect that winning mentality, even if it’s tough love, don’t you think?

In fact, Mayfield mentioned that he and Brady had a good chat before the game about playing with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. No beef, no hard feelings. Mayfield summed it up perfectly: “He did it his way, and that’s why he has seven rings.”

You can say he did not want any piece of that new look FOX Tom Brady—who’s on a brutal streak behind the mic. And honestly, if that’s the reason then sure Mayfield has done himself a favor there.
