Back then, it was billed as “the greatest roast of all time” for Tom Brady. And it turned out just like that for him. However, the former NFL quarterback turned FOX analyst later regretted his decision to be a part of the roast, considering the effect that it had on his three children.

But fast forward to now, and Brady is all set for part two, at least it seems for now. On Friday, October 17, the NFL legend announced that he’s ready for another roast. The thought process behind this is that just like his Super Bowl rings, one roast wasn’t enough for Brady.
“You know what, I think, I’m ready for another roast,” Brady shared the news in a short clip shared via his Instagram handle. And when asked if he’s certain about committing to the roast once again, Brady noted that he can surely handle it. “Yeah, I think I can handle it,” he added. “You don’t think I can?”

On top of that, Brady didn’t exactly keep his next roast a secret. The 48-year-old went ahead and dropped the announcement date of his new roast in his caption. “Just like my rings, one wasn’t enough. 10.21,” the caption read. While the news definitely created some excitement among Brady’s fans, it also raised a question: WHY?

Back in May 2024, Brady appeared on The Pivot Podcast. During the conversation, the NFL legend admitted that while he enjoyed the jokes directed at him, he regretted how the event affected his children. “I loved when the jokes were about me,” he said. “I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way it affected my kids.”
“So it’s the hardest part; the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and all of a sudden you realize ‘I wouldn’t do that again’ because of the way it affected, actually, the people I care about the most in the world.” At that time, Tom Brady surely had a thought to not do the roast again. But fast forward to now, and mark your calendars for October 21, for the official announcement from Brady.
Is Tom Brady really ready for another roast?
Earlier this year, Tom Brady admitted that his last year’s appearance on Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time was a parenting mistake. Besides Brady, the roast show featured Kevin Hart, Kim Kardashian, and Nikki Glaser, who poked the NFL legend one by one.

But during his appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast in May this year, Brady noted that he has some regrets about participating in the roast because of the effect it had on his children.
“When you were in that moment, in that theater that night at the Forum, it was electric. It was crazy. We got done, everybody was on Cloud 9. I think that moment I’ll never forget,” he said. “And then I’ll never forget when I talked to my kids the next day. I felt like a stake through the heart, understandably.”
So, when Tom Brady hit up Instagram and teased that he’s ready for another roast, it immediately makes you pause and think: Is he actually ready for round two? Well, for starters, Brady’s never been shy about being active on social media. Second, he’s setting the stage for an official reveal on Monday, October 21.
Now, some folks are scratching their heads, wondering why he’d even go for another roast after the last one. Others are betting it’s a clever marketing move. Maybe there’s something bigger he’s about to drop alongside the announcement. Either way, we’ll have the full picture on October 21.
