After making a guest entry in Tom Brady’s roast session organized by Netflix, Bill Belichick has been spotted again. It has been around 135 days since the ex-New England Patriots HC retired after a remarkable 24 seasons. Till now he had been unemployed, even after rumors flying off about Belichick committing to different roles.

However, none of them were finalized. But things seem to have taken a positive turn for the ex-Patriots HC, kudos to his son Stephen Belichick. It’s time for Bill Belichick to root for the Washington Huskies as his latest outdoor spotting says so.

Belichick adds a “W” touch to his attire while making a public appearance

On January 11 this year, Belichick parted ways with the Patriots ending one of the most successful runs in NFL and sports history. For the past 24 years, the 71-year-old has been at the helm of the Patriots, bringing immense success to New England. However, Belichick decided to call it off after the Patriots wrapped up a disappointing 4-13 record in 2023 that marked the worst season in Bill’s 29-year-old career in the league. While he participated in events not related to sports, the Boston Celtics versus Indiana Pacers match on May 24, was an exception.

Not only did Belichick pay a visit, he wanted his appearance to be the talk of the town. With this intention, while going to watch an NBA match instead of choosing his outfit based on the basketball teams, the ex-Patriots HC added an intriguing touch to his style game. He was spotted wearing a Huskies top, black Adidas windbreaker with a gold Washington “W”. It was not any random attempt.

The Hoody spotted in Seattle

Belichick’s choice of attire showcased his strong support for his son Stephen, who has been hired as the DC at Washington. Moreover, the Thursday night Eastern Conference Finals game in Boston also saw Belichick engaged in a deep conversation in the stands with Brad Stevens, who too lost his job after serving as the Celtics HC. However, this was not the first time that Belichick’s name has been linked up with the Huskies. The Hoody made the trip out to Seattle last month for Steve.

Even though it has been only three months since Steve was hired as the Huskies DC, there was another Patriots name in the Huskies roster. It is none other than Belichicks’ QB coach Jedd Fisch who later seemed confident about his former boss making it to his current team, “I would expect that we will have two of the four members of [the coaching] Mount Rushmore around very often.”

Even though there is no proper confirmation about Belichick making it to his son’s program, the ex-Patriot’s HC’s frequent spotting in Washington tells a different story. Does the letter “W” mark the confirmation of Belichick’s new chapter after days of retirement? Let your opinions pour in!
