Very few get the opportunity to make it to professional sports, let alone reach the heights that Ja Morant has. Maybe that is the sole reason why many in the sporting world are taken aback by the chaos Morant finds himself in, time and again. Two months back, Morant was seen flexing with a firearm at a strip club. The incident shocked many as Morant faced an eight-game suspension. But, it seems he has not learned from his mistakes as a similar incident has once again come to light. And, a retired NFL Pro Bowler is not happy with his conduct.

A similar incident has happened again, and many relevant names have taken it upon themselves to knock some sense into the young star, including a certain NFL veteran.

For the second time in the past two months, Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant was seen with a firearm. The initial incident led many to believe that Morant’s young age might have led him to act irresponsibly. However, a repetition of the same just adds to the questions surrounding the All-Star.

Morant was in the passenger seat of a vehicle with associate Davonte Pack, appearing to display a handgun for a brief moment. The video was captured while Pack was on Instagram Live, and fans were quick to spot the firearm. Since the incident, many have gone on to share their advice directed at Morant, including former NFL veteran Brandon Marshall.

“You get held accountable public. And what you see earlier seconds exactly is that Ja Morant doesn’t have problems. Ja Morant went to IMG Academy Ja Morant got Mom and Dad, It’s like Ja Morant’s dad is sitting there courtside every single day and I don’t give a damn and he’s wearing glasses and he’s wearing jewelry. But his dad is in his life and you’re embarrassing your dad, Ja Morant is not mature, and just like I said a couple of weeks ago or a month and a half ago,” expressed Marshall.

Marshall earlier expressed his desire to return to the New York Jets, but only if Aaron Rodgers approves. With Ja Morant’s recent debacle, the entire sporting world is taken aback, and looks like the consequences are about to get much more severe.

Another day, another apology

Right after the first incident, Morant had to undergo a short rehab counseling program in Florida, however this time the situation seems much more tense. NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver, seems particularly disgruntled by Morant repeating the same mistakes again. Silver clarified that the NBA is putting up an investigation in place and Morant would have to pay his dues.

Morant has however issued an apology since then, “I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me, This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself“.

Morant’s actions are not just going to lead to possible suspensions, but the Grizzlies superstar could also potentially lose money. Morant has active deals with Nike and Powerade and his endorsements could also land in jeopardy. Powerade has already pulled out an ad featuring the All-Star, and similar situations could rise in the future too.
