One of the biggest blunders in the investment industry was the FTX scam that happened. What’s even more interesting is that there were several NFL and NBA athletes involved in the scam. One of the biggest names in this scam was ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, Tom Brady. He was deeply involved in FTX’s crypto boom. However, with its fall, Brady came under some heavy scrutiny from fans as well as law enforcement agencies. And while Brady made his attempts to cut off any ties with the crypto company, it might have been too little, too late.

Is Tom Brady dodging legal action?
While it might be a bitter pill to swallow for the ex-quarterback, he was involved in a big scam that hurt a lot of people’s financial interests. With the launch of FTX, Brady, along with his then-wife, Gisele Bündchen endorsed the platform. Brady became a brand ambassador for it and even shot adverts that took YouTube by storm. However, after the platform went on to miserably fail, there was a strong lawsuit against many endorsers, including Brady. All of them were accused of failing to disclose the fact that they were being compensated to promote FTX.
Furthermore, when they were being served with notices of legal action, Brady was nowhere to be found. As per NBC Sports, Brady, supposedly, dodged six different attempts of being served with a notice.

NBA stars caught in the web of FTX
While Brady remains caught up in the FTX scandal, he is not the only one. Even NBA champion, Stephen Curry has been dragged into this. Chef Curry himself was served with the charges. Furthermore, Shaquille O’Neal also remains a part of this controversy.

There were six known attempts at serving the notice to the Hall of Famer. However, the ex-NBA player is nowhere to be found and as of last week hadn’t been served. It seems like even Shaq himself is dodging being served.

Interestingly, there is also involvement from other prominent figures in FTX. Gisele herself remains deeply entrapped in this scandal. Furthermore, even personalities like comedian Larry David, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and baseball star Shohei Omani are caught up in this scam. It only remains to be seen how the legal aspects of this scandal pan out and how much it will cost Brady.
