When the NBA playoffs come around, everyone has a unique take on each and every team that’s playing. Some people have the most absurd predictions for the playoffs while others become bandwagon fans of a particular player. However, it brings out the basketball lover in everyone, even ex-NFL players. Even some of the NBA analysts had words about the playoffs. One such player recently took to a podcast to state his opinions about Kevin Durant and Phoenix Suns. Interestingly, his opinion caused quite an uproar.

The NFL veteran in question, Brandon Marshall, went on to make some absurd statements about the basics of the game of basketball. Furthermore, his take also earned him a lot of flak as he was proven wrong after the first two games between the Suns and the Nuggets.

While on a podcast with Ashley Nicole Moss, the ex-Denver Broncos WR proclaimed that a team like the Suns will do better even if they don’t have a deep bench. He stated that a deep bench isn’t very necessary for a win. However, Ashley staunchly refuted this but Marshall was adamant.

He was proven horribly wrong just days after, when the Nuggets, who have a good depth chart, went on to beat the Suns in their second game of the playoff series. Even though players like Durant and Booker are putting in the work, the deeper bench of the Nuggets is able to beat them.

After Marshall’s comments were brutally proven wrong, fans went on to slam his words and his predictions. They took to Twitter to showcase their disdain for his uniformed take. One fan straight-up mentioned how terrible his takes are.

Furthermore, fans mentioned how he shouldn’t speak about basketball.

There were also comments that spoke about the attitude that came due to the sport he played.

Some fans also suggested a pragmatic choice for Marshall.

Finally, fans were convinced that Marshall does not have any knowledge of basketball.

All in all, fans were ticked off by the comments Marshall made. They did not agree with a word he said and made it brutally clear.

Marshall made his stance clear. He believed that Durant and Booker can get the job done. However, as of now, the scales are tipped in the favor of the Nuggets. It only remains to be seen if KD will be able to turn it around in the upcoming games.
