The color of the Huskies’ purple might soon just turn into the Jets’ green, according to a recent interaction. Garrett Wilson, the wide receiver for the New York Jets, has sent the fans into a frenzy as he hints toward an addition that could do wonders for the team.

Rome Odunze, the WR for the Washington Huskies, is a potential star of the NFL, ready in the making. He played for over 4 seasons at Washington and soon became one of the best WRs in the country. Additionally, he completed over 214 receptions and 3,272 passing yards. There is no doubt about the fact that a great future lies ahead of him and as per his meeting with Wilson, it is apparent that he could begin it with the New York Jets.

In the newest picture posted by Garrett Wilson on his Instagram account, the WR was seen hanging out with the star of the Washington Huskies, Rome Odunze, the famed player who has been a hot topic ever since his phenomenal performance at the NFL Combine. Additionally, the 6-3, 212-pound wide receiver is considered to be one of the top catchers in this year’s Draft and as such, makes sense that teams like the Jets are seeking him out.

The meeting between Wilson and Odunze has secured the fans’ theories on the Huskies’ franchise player seemingly making his decision for the NFL Draft. Moreover, Odunze is considered the third-best prospect in the Draft, according to Daniel Jeremiah, which just goes to show that the NFL analysts believe him to be a top-tier pick. While he’s projected to be a 12th overall pick for the Denver Broncos, it looks like the youngster will want to join the Jets’ after an interesting hangout session with his supposed friend, Garrett Wilson. Daniel Jeremiah chimes in with his view on the WR for the Huskies

Odunze is undoubtedly one of the best athletes to come out of the 2023 season. He is a skilled player who knows how to play outside and even in the slot. Moreover, he uses a variety of releases at the line of scrimmage and maneuvers his strength quite tactfully. These were the sort of statistics that Jeremiah resonated within his detailed analysis of Odunze.

He said, “He makes some incredible adjustments on poorly thrown balls. He tracks naturally over his shoulder. After the catch, he is very tough to bring down and has some nifty make-miss ability. He plays with a ton of passion and energy. Overall, Odunze is a complete player and reminds me of Larry Fitzgerald coming out of college.” Thus, Jeremiah’s comparison of Odunze to the great Larry Fitzgerald is a sign of his greatness that will soon be a part of the NFL.
