Cam Newton is back again with his commentary that oozes controversy. This time, it concerns Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders and his quarterback son, Shedeur. According to the former quarterback, Shedeur’s path ahead is not smooth.

In conversation with Shannon Sharpe, Newton expressed a lack of confidence about Coach Prime’s son and his draft projections. His analysis defies Deion Sanders’ high expectations of his son about his NFL Draft prospects.

Newton expresses concern about Shedeur making it to the Top 4

Deion Sanders holds high hopes for his son and lives by the firm belief that Shedeur will make it to the draft next year. According to Coach Prime, either Shedeur or Travis Hunter would be selected No. 1 overall next year. However, the cold temperature is a matter of concern for the caring father for his son. But Newton does not feel so about Shedeur making it to the prime selections. On the YouTube podcast, “Club Shay Shay,” Newton confessed to Sharpe, “I don’t think he’ll be a Top 4 pick.”

The former Carolina Panthers player answered yet another key question posed by Sharpe. According to Newton, the Atlanta Falcons are a perfect landing spot after Buffaloes since he believes the franchise will act magic on Shedeur’s business. Meanwhile, Newton has figured out his favorite, which is definitely not Shedeur.

Newton confirms his preference

A few days back, Newton appeared in the 4th & 1 podcast. To everyone’s surprise, he did not even give a second thought before revealing his preference for Hunter over Coach Prime’s son. Newton, with confidence, stated, “Obviously, Travis Hunter.” The Buffs’ two-way phenom has grabbed the attention of the former Panthers star because of his playing style. Newton himself confirmed about the same, “He’s electric. It’s like — where can’t he play?” Hunter can stand out in the former quarterback’s list of preferences because of his versatility. But he did not randomly just drop his predictions about the Buffs player.

Newton had closely observed Hunter when the wide receiver had been part of his C1N football program. On one occasion, the player failed to perform well during the game but calmly listened to the coach’s instruction and agreed to it.

Hence, Hunter appears “coachable,” for Newton opens up his prospects in the NFL, where he initially has to grind himself to evolve as the best. However, Newton does not doubt that Travis Hunter has already picked up fame enough for the fans to ignore Newton and take a picture with the Buffs’ two-way giant.
