As the head coach of the Chargers, Jim Harbaugh has one motto before the regular season commences: To revamp his staff and fill it with people who are worthy of the role. After all, it is Harbaugh’s Super Bowl dream, which is at stake here. Hence, Harbaugh has taken care of the vital positions himself. The OC and DC, and the general manager. As Greg Roman and Jesse Minter devise the perfect offense and defense strategy for the regular season, general manager Joe Hortiz is taking care of the remaining re-designing of the team.

Hortiz is now shifting his focus to the scouting team. Thus far, the team has made several commendable moves by hiring players like Justin Herbert and Austin Ekeler. However, with the shift to the new managerial positions, he needs to re-evaluate the current scouting team.

First things first, as the general manager of the Chargers, Hortiz is well aware of the talent they have in the Chargers scouting team throughout the years, which was also the starting part of his statement. “Our scouts here have done a great job through my transition here, and I know a good number of them, and I’m going to evaluate our entire scouting staff. But I certainly know there are talented people already in this organization, and I’m going to be able to evaluate them through the draft process, through the free agency process, and make decisions as needed,” commented he.

Along with this, there are also some additions to the team that Joe Hortiz is going to make. “There are people that I’d like to bring in, and as soon as I can get them in I’ll get them in here,” confessed he. Well, safe to say the Chargers are in safe hands, as Jim Harbaugh is nitpicking the players himself with the help of scouting reports.
