Deion Sanders Jr. is already well aware of the wrath of Mike Farrell, having experienced it first-hand. Now it was onto the NFL Rookie Watch community to shoulder it. The community took a long shot in comparing the hottest QB in the pro league with one of the hottest-in-controversy QBs in college football. A comparison that cost them a lot of criticism.

“Shedeur Sanders looking like Patrick Mahomes out there. The Big 12 has NEVER seen a QB of this caliber before,” they had tweeted on X. Bad idea. The page almost instantly pissed off not only the Patrick Mahomes’ fans but also most of the NFL aficionados. Mike Farrell was one really furious one among them. “We need an unfollow campaign – this feed @NFLRookieWatxh for this garbage,” an enraged Farrell stated crudely.

The best and the worst part about it? Shedeur Sanders is set to enter the NFL in 2025. Farrell’s comment is enough to give Shedeur a clear picture of what they expect in the NFL. While his father is a hundred percent sure of his son ending up as a top 5 pick in the 2025 NFL draft, Shedeur still has a long way to go, record-wise, in the 2025 season to be compared with Mahomes.

To destroy this completely, Shedeur would need to prove himself as brilliantly as Mahomes did. No other Big 12 QBs have made it as big as Mahomes with 3 Super Bowl wins and two Super Bowl MVP awards in the pro league.

The numbers alone won’t do in making Shedeur Sanders as big as Patrick Mahomes. He would need the leadership skills that make Mahomes one of the finest QB leaders. Mike Farrell highly doubts if Shedeur would make it there after his ‘mid’ comment on Xavier Smith.

The feud between Farrell and Deion Sanders Jr

The comment from Shedeur Sanders proved to be the genesis of the flood that was about to unleash for the Sanders. It not only invited heavy criticism but each Sanders who took a chance at defending Shedeur also got ripped to shreds.

Deion Sanders Jr. was one. When their father, Deion Sanders, defended Shedeur Sanders on X, Mike Farrell couldn’t hold back anymore as he called the Sanders family out for being “thin-skinned.

Deion Sanders Jr. jumped to defend his father on that, trying to bring down Farrell. “You so b*tch made dawg it doesn’t even make sense… You wrote multiple articles talking down on the family, but when we finally respond we’re ‘thin-skinned’,” Sanders Jr. tweeted.

Farrell was not about to sit back and hear ill words about him from Sanders Jr. The NFL journalist took the opportunity on the ‘Fearless’ show to reprimand him. “I am indеpеndеnt now. I am not with any of thosе sitеs. So I actually havе thе frееdom to say what I want,” Farrell said, also adding the word “ridiculous” for Sanders Jr. What do you think about Farrell and Sanders Jr’s beef?
