The Colorado Buffaloes fans hardly have any dull moment. Even though the spring window of the transfer portal has been one bumpy ride for Deion Sanders’ program, the Buffs are taking one step at a time to recover from the loss. If the social media platform X is studied, there are one after the other hints that they are hitting the rebound button.

A few days back, Julian Lewis dropped a video celebrating Colorado’s success last season while dropping a hint of him landing at Boulder. Now, the Colorado Football Assistant Director Of Player Personnel, Devin Ripress, hints at Colorado’s subsequent big signing.

Who might join the Buffs amidst the “JuJu” fever?

April 16 marked the beginning of when Ripress adopted to play a game of secrets. Shedeur Sanders tweeted, making a call about the portal getting busy. To make the Buffs QB heard came Ripress’ approval, “The best Qb in the country has spoken.” The Colorado AD is back at it again. While the Buffs are gaga over the “JuJu” fever, it is still unclear whether Lewis’ June visit to Colorado will be fruitful since it will mark his third visit to Deion Sanders’ program in a row. Amidst such speculation, Ripress chose to add to the suspense. His May 24 tweet shows a player in the patent Black and Gold jersey facing his back while the spotlight falls over him with the Boulder landscape in the background.

The fans are left in suspense, with only the jersey number, 1, as a clue to the new recruit’s identity. The rest is hidden behind a series of question marks. As Julian Lewis’ commitment to Colorado remains uncertain, other potential recruits are also in the mix, adding to the intrigue.

Key visits schedule to fill the void in Sanders’ Colorado

To change his focus from the disastrous transfer season that left Deion Sanders grappling with his prestige, Coach Prime is ready to load his team for the Class of 2025. Shedeur and Shilo are their father’s apple of the eye, and 2025 will be difficult for the Buffs HC as both his sons will be sailing on the NFL ship. Hence, to keep himself occupied, Sanders will likely land in players who will allow the coach to mold them as per his requirements. Other than Lewis, two names have been doing rounds across Boulder.

The 6ft 4 inches, 290 pounds Nashville OL Chauncey Gooden is one of them. As NoSkoZone’s Instagram page reported, Gooden is all set to pay a visit between June 21 and 23. The other name that the Buffs will root for is four-star WR Quanell Farrakhan Jr. Chances seem to run high for the receiver since he, too, expressed his interest, “What excites me is the opportunity to be coached by Coach Prime.” The meetup date for Farrakhan Jr. is June 21.

The Buffs are eager for Lewis to join, but they face stiff competition from programs like Georgia and Alabama. To secure his commitment, Colorado has enlisted the support of their most loyal fan, Peggy Coppom. Will Peggy’s influence be the game-changer in this recruitment battle?
