Cormani McClain is getting all the hate! The CB sold a perfect story against coach Deion Sanders while laying down his expectations for his future team. “Be a part of a real and great program that’s going to impact me to the best of my ability,” he said as news about him entering the transfer portal spread. In fact, McLain’s mother too got involved with her subtle statements against Sanders.

Per the latest development cited by the On3 transfer portal, McClain is on track to find his new school. “Former 5-star CB Cormani McClain has been in contact with 9 schools across the Big 12, Big Ten, and SEC,” Transfer Portal on X stated via Pete Nakos’ report from On3. It is said that Oklahoma, LSU, Texas, Georgia, USC, and Oregon are buzzing with McClain’s name as potential landing spots.

“McClain’s camp said he will commit in 1-2 weeks,” the X post added further. The intel made the fans laugh out loud. None believed that a player who generally plays for himself could end up in a reputed program.

In fact, while with Colorado Buffaloes, Sanders and McClain butted heads quite a lot, especially when it came to discipline. The player would be late for practice and sometimes skip team meetings and this annoyed ‘Prime Time’. However, Sanders wasn’t the only coach tired of the player. His high school head coach, Lakeland’s Keith Barefield, recently mentioned that the athlete was used to getting away with things because he played well. But in Buffaloes’ high-level program, this behavior wouldn’t fit.

In addition to all of this, McClain’s mother, Kaishay McClain, who earlier took a subtle dig at Coach Prime, later stated, “No lost love here.”

Gotta be somewhere where you’re appreciated and not just tolerated!!! God take the lead, we right behind ya,” she tweeted earlier, prompting her son to make the move against Prime. This added fuel to the fire raging against Prime as Mike Farrell’s clarification of Deion’s side of the story came right after.

Per him, Deion Sanders took McClain under his wing when no one was ready to and decided to be a mentor to him. “Didn’t happen. He called the kid out after three games,Farrell reported in ‘Fearless’. The rest was history. If the fans were only roasting McClain for that alone, it would be less harsh on him. However, fans are flooding social media with all the flaws they found in McClain’s moves.

Cormani McClain has to take all the heat!

With some programs not expecting to look at McClain as a prospect, a fan boldly said, “Drop the school names then.” Until an official statement is made, the disbelief regarding McClain committing to a good program will persist.

“He’s probably begging Coach Prime to give him one more chance after realizing no matter where he goes he has to put in the work,” mentioned another fan. However, one would wonder if that is really the case. While Deion Sanders wished him the best, McClain has taken digs at the HC several times. Considering that, it doesn’t seem like the athlete would want to stay with the Buffs.

Now, let us assume he does end up in a good program. There is a possibility he won’t get to play. “Committing that late will only ensure another year of not playing,” a fan pointed out, stating the obvious. That won’t be the only thing stopping him from playing. “He still gonna be struggling to learn the new scheme n playbook,” another fan said, all while taking a dig at the athlete. There is another issue. He could just end up as a plug-and-play starter for programs running out of time.

All in all, the tweet from this fan summed up most of the fans’ responses toward McClain getting a good program. “Nobody believes in this sh*t.” It seems Cormani McClain will have to share specific names soon. What do you think? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
