The news of the Washington Commanders’ interview not going well with Jayden Daniels sent shocking waves across the NFL draft class, including the CFB world. The player previously touted as the No. 2 pick in the 2024 NFL draft class is now pushed back in the draft. The Commanders needed a QB like Daniels to lead them since their last season was a straight-up catastrophe. 4-13 record, a leaky offense, and an even sorry offense.

“He didn’t seem particularly pleased with the process,” Adam Schefter revealed Ron Butler’s reaction post-Daniels’ meeting with the Commanders. While things are hanging by a thread between the Commanders and Daniels, the LSU QB has reportedly diverted his attention toward the Raiders now. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said, “Daniels is looking at his options right now. Now he has interest in playing for the Raiders, that is real.” So should the Raiders be celebrating and should the Commanders rethink their decisions?

Definitely yes, per Daniels’ former head coach Brian Kelly. After the news, Kelly issued a statement, rather a regret-inducing statement for the Commanders, post the news. “This isn’t somebody that has reached his full potential, he is only going to get better,” Kelly said. Well, the QB who can rein as the Heisman Champion in his final year without unlocking his full potential can only be feared on the NFL gridiron. Fans would wait for Daniels to establish his reign on the NFL grounds as well.

Seems that the Raiders would be the ones to have that QB dominance on-field since Jayden Daniels is not hiding his interest in the franchise. Although will it be possible is a question that remains to be answered.

Is Jayden Daniels and the Raiders a match?

A reunion with Antonio Pierce was exactly what Jayden Daniels was looking forward to. The only obstacle in turning that into reality is Raiders pick No. 13. Even the trade-up lineup is quite scarce since no team wants to lose their first-10 pick, and the Vikings are already first in the row for the trade-up.

The Vikings are the ones that could be a potential problem for the Raiders and Daniels’ dream of working together since the team is looking for a QB draft too. Even Jayden Daniels is not too sure how Antonio Pierce and Co. are going to pull it off.

“I don’t know how they’re gonna pull it off,” Daniels said during an appearance on the Nightcap Show with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson. “So I know if I was to go to the Raiders — I’m not saying I’m gonna go there or I wanna go there, I wanna go wherever my name is called — if I was to go to the Raiders, I know as soon as I step foot, he’s gonna challenge me,” Daniels said, expressing his spirits to work with Coach Pierce.
