Prime Time is all set to enter his real Prime Time in Colorado. When Deion Sanders and Co. made a blazing 3-0 start to the 2023 season, fans thought this would be the season where they witnessed Sanders’ Prime Effect. It fizzled, however, the reasons being Colorado’s problems with certain positions, both players and staff, including the head coach, as Sanders admitted in his interview with Today.

“We weren’t prepared. We didn’t have that ability inside the locker room and some other positions, including myself,” Deion Sanders confessed, not shying away from holding himself accountable. However, that didn’t stop Deion Sanders from getting prepared this season.

We went, and we got those places that were lacking, like in the offense and the defense. Now we’re prepared. And I cannot wait to enter the season. So it’s gonna be a great year,” Coach Prime said, laying his mantra straight down for the season. Since the 4-8 humiliation, there is no turning back this season.

For this, Coach Prime is leaving no stone unturned. Deion Sanders is not letting anyone off the hook with the Black and Gold Spring Day practice on the cusp. His vision for their path of redemption is crystal clear, something that he wanted to program into the Buffs players as well. “Everybody is going to be challenged,” Sanders warned the team on The PreGame Show. “If it’s not out by your teammates, it’s going to be from your opponents,” Sanders stated as a matter-of-fact since the regular season lineup has left him concerned.

Deion Sanders is not happy with the 2024 regular season schedule

Since the college football schedule for the upcoming season was released, Deion Sanders has said and done quite some things. A primary among them being a direct jibe at Colorado State and showing unapologetic apprehension about the teams he has to face before them.

Buffs’ first showdown of the season is against North Dakota State. Per Prime, “Those guys come to play, and they can play.” Meanwhile, for Nebraska, their second opponent of the season, Prime believes, “That’s going to be a good one, they’ve got a great coach.”

For Colorado, well, Sanders said, “Colorado State… shoot, I wish we could start off with that one,” since the CU State seems like a comparatively less daunting opponent to Prime Time. With two formidable Giants lining up the initial games, will Deion Sanders be able to establish a dominating hand at the beginning of the season? If not, will he be able to make up for it later, given the extensive practice the Buffs players have been putting in? What do you think?
