Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have shown remarkable resilience despite the significant player departures to the transfer portal. While the record for losing the highest number of players in the history of college football was a blow, they continue to push forward. Even months after the transfer season, coach Jason Brown takes a harsh stance on Coach Prime on The Coach JB Show with Big Smitty.

Sanders was for a long time building some hope in his heart after the Joel Klatt hype (he believes the Buffaloes will make it to the playoffs). But Klatt’s analysis failed to convince Coach JB, who thinks the analyst has come off as “soft.”

Coach JB questions Sanders’ coaching abilities in view of the player exodus

Coach Jason Brown has been one of the biggest critics of Deion Sanders. Coach JB thought it was a good idea to add insult to injury for the Buffs head coach, who just emerged from a difficult phase in his coaching career. Following the 247Sports Instagram post on May 9, Buffaloes topped the list of power conference teams with the most transfer portal departures in the 2024 cycle. For a change, Deion Sanders and company secured the top spot for not something to flaunt: they lost 41 players. That’s a big deal! Sugarcoating Sanders’ biggest weakness, Coach JB said, “I don’t know if you can let a lot of men leave your watch to only attain and then regain new men every single quarter.”

He stressed what he expects of the Buffs HC, “I want to see him actually create a culture create a group of grown men that understand running for the f*cking hills is not the easiest way out and it’s not always going to work in life.” While the podcast host questions Sanders’ coaching abilities, he also questions Joel Klatt’s analysis to count on the Buffs HC.

Klatt places high hopes on Shedeur’s comeback

According to Coach JB, “Joel was soft in that interview.” But what made him claim so? After Deion Sanders, if there is anyone who wholeheartedly subscribes to the belief that Shedeur will be an ultimate game-changer this season, it’s none other than Klatt. But again, the NFL analyst’s assumption rests on one condition: that is the Buffs QB’s protection.

Now that Deion Sanders has revamped his offensive line with the sole purpose of providing his son with top-notch protection, Klatt is living on the dream narrative, “if Shedeur only gets sacked half of the time.” “So, let’s say less than 25 times, which is still a lot, by the way. There are guys out there, Bo Nix from Oregon got sacked like six times. I’m saying, like, if you go under 25, that’s four more wins. Easy.” The NFL analyst hopes Shedeur will return with a boom!

According to reports, Deion Sanders’ Colorado is +2000 to make the first 12-team playoff. This bit of data points to a growing optimism about the team’s chances. If Coach Prime can retain the players for a long time, the team could soon be reaping the fruits of their efforts. The audience eagerly watches the Buffs HC, filled with anticipation for the future.
