With over 12 years of coaching under his belt, Weaver’s NFL pedigree seamlessly aligns with the vision that Sanders holds aiming at improving Colorado’s defense. Stepping into his 14th overall season of coaching, his potential appointment represents a significant leap forward for Sanders’ program.

Interestingly, the Ravens’ defensive line coach has been a top prospect to fill up vacancies for other programs including the Atlanta Falcons the most recent being Miami Dolphins. However, reportedly, it is Coach Prime’s promise of swift action that materializes with the likely addition of Weaver. With this, the decision comes as a blow for the Ravens, the first being Mike Macdonald’s move to the Seattle Seahawks.

Before this, Macdonald had spent nine of the past 10 seasons as Ravens’ defensive staff, which earned him the reputation as one of the brightest defensive minds in the league. Since the Ravens already have a post to fill, Weaver’s potential appointment serves as a significant leap forward for the Buffaloes.

Even though, as of now, Sanders is yet to make an official announcement about Weaver taking up a new role in the program, expectations are looming high for Buffaloes’ strategy for the upcoming seasons. Along with this, inquisitiveness grows behind the coach’s reason for choosing to join Coach Prime’s squad over the Dolphins and Falcons.
